Replacement Parker Sonnet Nibs

For about 6 months I've searched for some Medium nibs and feed for Sonnet barrels. I took a flyer on ebay and ended up with a couple of nibs - silver and gold. Admittedly I took a chance. How can I tell that I received the genuine item. The nibs have the Parker name on the nib, but don't have a "M" stamp that I was looking for. The performance of the nibs is so-so and the packaging; well lets not go there. How can I tell copies from the real thing, and I'm looking for a seller with some credentials. This journey will continue
