Hp 24 Lb Bright White Inkjet Paper

I picked up a ream of HP 24 lb Bright White Inkjet paper and it has been performing well for me. So far I haven't experienced any feathering or bleed through, even with extremely wet pen and ink combinations. Shading is about the same as with HP's 32 lb Premium Choice Laser Printer paper (which is to say: almost as good as Rhodia). Despite it's lighter weight this paper is almost as thick as the 32 lb laser paper! I find that the Bright White Inkjet paper has a barely perceptible texture which gives it a hint of feedback while writing, but without any catching or other problems when using a fine nib. However, if you're looking from a super smooth paper, you'll probably be prefere the laser printer paper.

Hi,

Thanks for taking a look at that paper.

I still use the 24lb HP laser jet paper, HPJ1124, so its good to know that their ink jet paper is a viable option.

Please be so kind as to tell us the HP product ID & the UPC №s.

Bye,

S1

Unfortunately I tossed the package, so I can't the UPC. The HP product code is HPB1124. Here's a link to Staples Canada showing the packaging:

Question, is the following the HP 24lb Laser Jet paper you have?

I have a stock of the 32 lb Laserjet paper, and I've been wanting to try the HP 24 lb Laserjet Paper, but it wasn't in stock at my local Staples last time I dropped by. Will probably be dropping by again on Saturday as they'll have a sale on. So as of now I can't offer you a comparison between the 24 lb injet and laserjet papers.

As well as this paper handles ink, it's feel while writing (feedback, friction, or whatever) really bothers me with fine or dry nibs. Overall I prefere the laser printer paper. However, if you find laser printer paper too smooth, or if you use wet broad nibs that float over the paper, this paper is worth trying.
