Sorry about the dampness, myyrkezaan -- they came in a regular envelope, so somehow the Postal Service got them exposed to moisture somewhere.

As of yesterday, I've gotten three sets of cards/questionnaires returned and one questionnaire via email. Even with this small sample, the results are very worthwhile -- you guys and gals are stressing these papers with pens and inks much better than I could -- and that was one of the two key purposes of this study. When the study is over, I'll post a summary of the things I learned.

Dampness wasn't yours or the PO's fault, it was raining pretty hard the day they came and the mail is usually damp when that happens.

I'll be finishing tonight.

I'm dying to know what everyone else thought of each card!

someonesdad, let us know if it is ok with you if we share our experiences in the thread.

Best, greg

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

Susie, I'm particularly interested in seeing your cards, as I know you have a lot of inks! :notworthy1:

I've finished testing but haven't finished my questionnaire yet. I'm also going to avoid reading the feedback of everyone else until I've sent my questionnaire back - I don't want to be influenced.

Hi, Greg:

Of course it's OK -- I'm a big believer in free speech. I'd just ask all you kind folks who evaluated the cards to hold off with your comments until I've gotten all the responses back to avoid any accidental biases. Actually, I suspect that I won't get some of them back (I did a similar survey a few years ago and had some who volunteered but never sent their stuff back to me). Thus, I'm going to call Friday January 20th the cutoff date for responses; anything I receive after that may or may not get included in the results (I'll make a judgment call at the time). A number of folks have commented that they'll do their evaluations this weekend, so that gives them 5 working days for the mail to get me the results.

I had a chance to test them and sent them back. You should be receiving them soon.

Thanks

Just a friendly reminder that Monday is a federal holiday and there will be no postal service

LoL! Well, actually, I just sent off the requested "one of each card", but I'm thinking that I might send you the rest of my cards that have tons of inks on them. Would that be helpful to you?

I was going to send 2 of each back, will wait for the answer since the question was asked :).

I'm done. Mine will go out Tuesday (Holiday on Monday).

I liked the 71 cards the most. Can't stand the 109 cards.

I'll have mine in the mail on Tuesday as well. They took a full week to get here, so I suspect they'll take just as long to get back.

I came here for the pictures and stayed for the conversation.

I'd be a customer! Just ordered another 500 of my favourite Crane with name & phone number printed. I'm guessing you won't be going into printing, but there's always room for a seller of good paper stock.

Absolutely, I'd love to get them. It turns out that the card samples you guys and gals return are critical to this evaluation -- it allows me to examine the cards and compare them to the comments you make about the cards. And I had no idea so many inks and pens/nibs would be used (lots of stubs, italics, and flex nibs out there). There's no way I could have done this study by myself.

And Susie, you did something that no one else has done yet -- and I slapped my forehead when I saw it and wish I had thought of it. I'll reveal it at the end of next week -- unless you assert your copyright!

Oh, and it has been fascinating to see the variety of inks used. One ink I never would have considered using (based on its name) is now one I have to have. So it has also been an education.

You've piqued my curiosity with both, can you reveal the ink?
