Nice pens! I love the 1st and 3rd Columbus pens.

The cap and clip of #11 look similar to the silver ray pattern on an Italstilo I have that markiv would recognize, the barrel is less discernable and the blind cap on mine matches the silver ray barrel instead of being black.

I also love the two Columbus pens you mentioned - probably my two favorites in the collection. #11 is also similar to a Columbus 65 - see my earlier post asking for identification of the pen. The pen is actually a piston filler - has a FASVAR steel nib.

Nice collection Dayne

I LOVE COLUMBUS and your #6 (i think 134) is in a beautiful color

Yes - it is a 134 and, I agree, is a very nice color. The black next to it is a 132, The other, a Columbus 27, is in a darker tortoise color.

fabbale, that is a beautiful Columbus 134! And the collections shown are fantastic!

I have a few, though not nearly as many as others, nor as beautiful. Still, my Italian pens see regular use in my rotation.

Left to right, they are:

  1. Aurora 88, semi-flex 14k M nib by Minuskin, Serial No. 730,656 (c. 1951)
  2. Ferrari da Varese Yesterday, 18k B stub nib by Pendleton Brown (c. 2005)
  3. Italstilo, flexible Lidov Extra M.A 14k 1.1mm nib, deco silverray celluloid (c. early 1940s)
  4. Marlen Dossenus business, 18k M nib by Mottishaw (1997)
  5. OMAS Arte Italiana Milord (old style), 18k 1.1 mm stub B nib by Minuskin (2003)
  6. OMAS Extra Ogiva, 18k B stub nib by Masuyama, red vegetal resin (c. 1997)
  7. OMAS Ogiva Guilloche, 18k B nib (c. 2003)
  8. OMAS Revelations L.E., 18k factory stub nib (c. ?)
  9. Stilnova, flexible Fulgens 14k nib (c. 1940s)
  10. Tibaldi Modello 60, 18k B stub nib by Minuskin (c. 1995)
  11. Visconti Portofino L.E., 18k factory stub nib (c. 2001)

Oh, and not not shown because it was in my pocket when I took the photo is a Stipula FPN Passaporto with a steel 1.1mm CI nib, a pen I've had in my pocket from the moment it arrived. Right now the Passaporto is inked with Iroshizuku kon-peki and the OMAS Revelations has Aurora Blue ink.

It's transparent through the thin lines in the Arco celluloid too:

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
