13 Black Ink Under Water.

Hello.

Here you have the result of a little experiment. The experimente was made by a friend of me (Tirozetas) and I.

These are the inks:

The result is surprising. I have discover new good black inks, like Sailor & Caran d'Ache.

I have tried to adjust the photo to make the colors as real as possible ::

 

 

 

In this pic I have poor some ink into a kitches paper. The diferent colors of the composition appear over this paper. The ink samples are in the same positon as the photo before.

From your experiment, I cannot see any difference between Mont Blanc Black and Mont Blanc Mystery Black. They seem to have the same characteristics.

Wonderful thread and comparative superb black inks, Pomperopero and Tirozetas, included the vast majority of blacks can be found here in Spain.

I would like to see similar work on other colors of the spectrum. A big hug friends.

I have made a bigger post in Spanish explaining many other diferences that cannot be seen in the photos. Is hard to show the diferences in photos and even more to explain with my little english :embarrassed_smile:

 

Mont Blanc Black is a little more darker than Mystery Black and dries faster. The Mystery Black looks mate and the old one in more brilliant. The lubrication in Mystery Black is better. Both of them are good ink and both of them can be cleaned and erased easily.

I prefer Mystery Black.

Well done pompero (I miss the last pic of the show :roflmho: )

 

I think, for us, the great surprise was Caran d'Ache carbon black. Very nice dark, enough water resistant...i'm using it these days in mi Sailor 1911 and works very well.

But maybe kiwaguro was the winner in the overall. Is not so black, looks "carbon", but more than enough dark, makes writing very soft, and it's very uniform (no shades). And it's water resistance is very very high.

an awesome comparison. i have sailor jentle, omas, j.herbin, pelikan, and rohrer & klingner. i was planning to get diamine black also. i now can see the difference between those blacks. thanks for the post.

Kiwa guro is indeed incredible waterproof: From the others black, Dupont Noir is pretty solid, although not waterproof.
