INTRODUCING YOU ANOTHER SPANISH WRITING INSTRUMENTS MANUFACTURER

 

STYB today is one the biggest writing instruments companies in the world therefore is very interesting to know its history.

Company background

1948.- Juan Sanchez Navarro, father of the actual President, open in Albacete a small workshop to repair Fountain pens. His son, Eduardo Sanchez Muliterno starts to work with him at very early age and soon they start manufacturing fountain pens under the name Jabalina.

 

1974.- Eduardo Sanchez Muliterno acquires the total property and starts a huge proyect to updating and expanding the company applicating the most modern technology, such as, plastic injection from France. At the end of this year new products under the brand name STYB are launched.

 

1978.- The company is transferred to a new building in polígono industrial Campollano and today the plant has over 20.000 square meters.

 

1982.- Industrias Jabalina change its name to STYB, S.A.

 

1986.- Taking in mind the integration of Spain to European Community, STYB, stars its international expansion which today represent 75% of the total sales and is present in more than 80 countries all over the world.

 

1998.- STYB launchs its first liquid ink MegaRoller after deep technology searches. Only a few manufacturers in the world are able and capable to manufacture such a advanced technological product.

 

2006.- STYB open its own facilities in China to adapt the production to the new demand. The new factory established with highest technology and processes of the headquartes to keep the same quality level which is well known and appreciated all around the world.

STYB JOINS GLOBAL COMPACT

Last December, Styb signed the Global Compact. This initiative is promoted by United Nations and it counts with some miles of participating companies all around the world. By joining Global Compact, Styb supports its 10 universal principles. These principles contribute to a more stable and a more fair global market, and they promote prosperity in societies.

 

STYB BETS ON SOLAR ENERGY IN ALBACETE

Photovoltaic modules have been installed covering Styb’s facilities in Campollano. These modules have a power of 100 KW. This initiative increases the list of previous initiatives that the company has taken in order to contribute to a better environment.

 

BIODEGRADABLE BALLPENS

STYB has recently included a new line of biodegradable products into its product range; this new line will be launched under ECOSTYB denomination. These are ballpens manufactured from completely biodegradable vegetable material and they meet all the quality standards of the brand.

I liked Pluma Jabalina Scrikss. Looks like it has features of the Parker 51 and Montblanc 31, both pens I like. Nice color.

Yeah it¡s very nice ! and the quality is perfect, a lot of spanish companies were doing similar to Parker fp,s during the 50 and 60¡s.

The best of the models of this brand was the STYB Minister.

 

In origin was not a expensive model, but now Is difficult to find this model, spanish collectors are always looking for.
