Hello

Inoxicrom does not get the attention it deserves. I have used two models of Inoxicrom FPs, and found them good writers. I own two Wall Streets Elegance and a Thinner Inoxicrom Oxford Classic. I haven't inked one of the Wall Streets yet, but the other two are good writers.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

fp lover: Perhaps you could answer a question for me. I have several older Inoxcrom pens and really enjoy them. But I have heard that a few years ago Inoxcrom moved manufacturing to China, and that the pens are not as wonderful as they used to be. Is this true?

I have always wanted to get an Inoxcrom because it is a Spanish pen, interesting to me, but I haven't seen many models, usually just school pens. Where could one see their full range?

For older Inoxcroms, Speerbob has some for sale at the moment (no affiliation), and you can browse eBay or Google to see others. But there are, or were, many different kinds over a large range of prices. They do have a corporate Web site, www.inoxcrom.com, but it appears to be under construction.

Hi, how are you ?

No that's not true fountain pens are manufactured by themselves. The only, as far as I know, they manufacture in Far East is plastic ballpoint pens. Of course today's Fountain pens are so nice as those manufacture in the 60, 70, 80 and 90's.

Hi, how are you ?

you may try the catalogue in this link

http://issuu.com/sve_tochka/docs/inoxcrom2010_small

Of course they show you new models when the most interesting are the ones before the 90's back.

hello fp lover

I have seen photos of a Sirocco, and may even be able to get one (black resin body with sterling silver cap) soon. I buy my Inoxcroms (no 'i') from a local dealer here in rawalpindi Pakistan. The prices are comparable to international eg the above pen will be between US $ 150 - 200.

I was most intrigued by the link you sent me. Sirocco I recognised but what is that pen at the bottom, black resin, looks like a MB 146. I can't read spanish, the caption said 'Otra Sirocco, de resina negra', but it certainly does NOT look like any Sirocco pic that I have seen. Can you please explain.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

Hi, first of all 120$ it's a good price for a Siroco silver cap and resin black or burgundy or marbre green. I am surprise you find them in Pakistan ?? Give me more details please as I am curious !

Te thick black one it's a model called Caravel I (also they manufactured slimmer called Caravel II) both from the 90's. The funny thing is that is so similar and good quality in relation with the MB 146 that they have to stop the production under pression of MB. Now it become "a must to have" by the spanish collectors.

Hello fp lover,

The Sirocco is available @ about $140 (Pak Ruppee 12000 with 1 US $ = about 85 Pak Rs). It is available from a local dealer who has a contact in Karachi which is the main commercial hub of Pakistan. The contact in Karachi apparently has a dealership for the Inoxcroms. I was gifted a Wall Street by a friend with medium nib, meanwhile I had ordered a one with a Broad nib. I got the one I ordered and also requested for and got a B nib replacement for the Medium I already had. So now I have two similar Wall Steets Elegance, Steel with GTs. I have yet to ink the newer pen but the one I changed the nib on writes well, a bit on the drier side for my taste but smooth enough, though not butter. The heft and girth are very much to my liking. The prices here may be less than that in Europe. My Wall Street cost me Rs 4000 (about $47), and the replacement nib was only Rs 600 ($7). My favourite pen is the Cross Townsend, and this one comapres favourably with that in size, balance and weight.

This dealer in Rawalpindi (my town, a twin City to the Capital Islamabad) has a catalogue in which I saw a Sirocco and ordered one. The supply time is not what I would ask for (3 - 4 weeks) so I am waiting still. The one available here (Karachi) is a black resin with silver cap. I like the colour combination anyway and given a choice would have got the same rather than the full silver model. The nib has a different colour combination (at least in th catalogue it did) with a steel / silver proximal part and a gold coated distal part. But it is not a gold nib as I understand. The weight and circumference is almost the same as a Wall Street I guess.

BTW I also have an Oxford Classic, all Black, nice thin pen, a little on the heavier side for its size, the way I like them. Nice writer too. Much better than a Vector, which feel cheap. I would can compare it with a Parker 88 / Rialto Place Vendome all Gold that I have, or a Pelikan 381 Classic in size and balance more near the later. Got it for only Rs 700 ($8.5). The listed price was Rs 1200 ($14), but this pen had a dint in the body hardly noticeable. I haggled with the stationery owner and got it on a rebate.

I would very much like to know the prices of these pens in Spain too if it is not too much trouble, just for the sake of knowing.

That much from my side. Now I would like to hear more about the Caravel, its price range and availability, and the nib types available. Looks like a pen to own and write with. Funny the impression we had was that Inoxcrom only made Ballpoints, good ones but for the select market of company logo imprints. It was only recently that I found out about FPs made by Inoxcrom.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

Hi,

Then you have to try the fountain pens as well. You will be suprised of the writing quality. I have around 80 fp's and imagine 20 units are from inoxcrom period 60,70,80's.

Dear jslallar,

if you follow Ramadhan I wish you the best Ramadhan Karim !

The prices you mentioned are more o less correct and similar to the ones here. To match these prices the items must come thru Dubai. I am curious to know the company in Karachi having Inoxcrom. Pls. advise if possible.

The prices you mentioned is around 10/15% over the prices here but I consider it normal due transportation and other expenses.

In general the nibs are M close to F and all stainless steel. Very rare to find gold nibs. Only I have the Siroco's with gold nib. The nibs colour combinations, even for the same pens were changed as per the trends yearly and that's what I got.

The weights differs slightly from models but it's well compensated for writing purpose.

Oxford Classic it's good writing quality for the money you pay and the price you mention is a correct one compare to here.

Referring to the Caravel, manufactured beg. of the 90,s it's note easy to find it nowadays but still there are some chance.

The price rate average 90 to 100 $. In fact I know someone in Portugal who has a small stock of Caravel and Siroco's and he's my supplier of these models.

The Caravel is made of noble black resin. The trimmings are electrogoldplated and the nibs as well. The steel nib is iridium point and Medium.

all the best !

I have a couple of Inoxcrom Handy Pens, came as part of a job lot from the US, very simple, ordinary cartridge pens that work very well.

Are they commonplace or giveaway items in the US, assumption on my part that they are because of the price paid?
