some very serious collections here, thanks for sharing :notworthy1:

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Since most of my pens are black, I thought I should make a picture of the other. Sorry about the width of the pic

This is a nice collection and a pretty good picture too! May I ask you what's the pen wich lies left of the Pelikan 100 and left of the gold plated Aurora 88? Thanks.

...ahh, and here the newest addition to my Pelikan colletion:

I agree, a great group of pens and a very nice picture of them all! Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks Gobblecup - would like to hear the story behind your handle.

Christof, those pens are beautiful and in incredible condition. Where did you source these?

The orange pen is an unknown German piston filler. It has one of my favorite celluloids.

The second one is a Fend fountain pen with an incredible nib - a BB tip!

I am not a big fan of metal pens but love when they have a nice clean industrial design.

Vik,

On that first pen, it looks like it has a steel DEGUSSA nib, is this correct? The build and quality of the pen look very much like the pens made by the German Columbus/Rakete brands, although they do resemble a number of common German designs, so without a marking, or similar reference it would be hard to tell. You might look at this link to a discussion about that brand where I learned quite a bit about that brand.

EDIT: The handle came about as a nonsense stroke of anti-genius, some metaphor to do with a goblet being a cup, and drinking out of a goblet-cup so quickly your gobbling liquid from the cup... :roflmho:

You know, it could have something to do with thirsty goblins too, I never considered that... :hmm1:

Thanks for the good words, mallymal1....

I wish I could take better pen pics. Some of the Parkers really look better in person than in the pics...more depth and translucence of colors, etc.....really fun to look at...

These aren't all of mine, but they're some of my favorites.

As you can see, I'm not a big fan of yellow gold. :)

Here is my tiny little "collection":

images snipped...

My collection looked almost identical about 10 years ago. The first four pens I bought were Safari-->Rotring 600-->Lamy 2000-->Parker 51. The only difference is the 51 - mine was a full size in black. You've got a great start or a great complete set if you decide to stop there (good luck with that :P ).

Haha! That's nice!

I've only started using fountain pens last November...."Luckily" my wallet as a college student is pretty limited, that's why I have only 4....

Stop?! I don't even know that word :hmm1:

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
