So... Who Got There Noodlers Flex Pens Today?

I went with the Cardinal Red along with some inks (Australian Roses, Brown #41, Mocasin Black, Kon Peki). I dont see why people love demonstrators so much? I'll be happy to get my order shipped this week at some point as I went with Goulet pens and I think they will be swamped.

I ordered one from someone else on Saturday. I got the Poltergeist Pumpkin one. I didn't want to try to fight with everyone else to try to buy one from the Goulets, which turned out to be a very good thing, because it looks like their site couldn't keep up with the load.

Where else carries them?

EDIT: Nevermind I see isellpens.com has them but no demonstrators or lapis

I got a Lapis Inferno and a bottle of Bad Belted Kingfisher. I'm North of the border so it will probably be a while until I get the order.

Ordered the Poltergeist Pumpkin off ebay this past weekend. Seems a cost-effective way to experiment with flex.

I just ordered the cardinal red one, along with Black Swan in English Roses which I've been meaning to get for ages.

I'm so looking forward to trying out the pen. So many people seems to have such a lot of fun with them.

Zenadier, thanks for starting this thread -- I'd have totally forgotten to order one otherwise, and then they'd all be gone. Again!

I just ordered two noodlers flex pens from gouletpens.com :puddle: One in lapis inferno the other in vulcan's coral. I was wondering who else ordered them and in what colors?

I ordered a Demonstrator and wanted to get a Lapis Inferno, but got sick of waiting for the Web site. Just took the Demo. and considered myself lucky. I think for a large demand like this, best not to crash his Web site with the "Land rush" ordering plan. I know other methods have their troubles and problems, but crashing your server makes no one happy.

Take care,

I was a little bummed at missing out on the demonstrator but still got a Cardinal Darkness and a Poltergeist Pumpkin, the latter part of an "all orange" gift bag for my fiancee...

I am very glad that it helped you get your hands on one of these wonderful pens. The idea of missing out because I forgot the day they came out ... :crybaby:

I wish I could get my fiance to enable/further my addiction to FP's and inks... -_-

I cant complain too much though she already lets me get away with my briar wood pipes, coffee, and tea addictions.

I just ordered the Cardinal Darkness. I actually forgot they were being released today, but the Cardinal Darkness is the one I wanted. This will be my first Noodler's pen. Hope I like it.

Wow, you might be my doppelganger. I still have a good coffee and fine tea habit but gave up the pipes a few years ago. I am hoping that this part of my gift will persuade her to continue in her generous tolerance, particularly since she doesn't drink coffee or tea so that mystifies here. She couldn't understand why I needed a grinder or had to replace her Mr. Coffee drip machine :)

I was set to be in front of a computer at 1 until I arrived for my morning court cases to find things incredibly backed up. As it turns out, we barely had a break before the afternoon docket started at 2. During that few moments, I tried my phone but couldn't get through checkout.

Happily, I did get to take my "lunch" break at the end of the day (4:52) and managed to snag a Cardinal, a Pumpkin, and a Coral. I was wavering between Lapis and Coral for the last of my three pen ideal order and settled on Lapis, but I feel this way things were decided for me in a happy way. I felt four pens was over the line (which is not a commentary on anybody who got them all -- this is a matter of personal conviction).

In truth, I think the excitement of a limited product being released spurred my order as much as anything. I could have ordered from Pear Tree or isellpens (both fine retailers) over the weekend but did not.

I got one in each of the colurs but the time taken to get them all added the basket and sort out some issues with quantities (more below) meant that I lost out on the demonstrator :(

I doubt I'll keep every color but it was quite hard to pick from the on screen colours so thought I would get one of each in front of me before making a decision. Any I decide not to keep I'll offer back fellow FPNers.

There were definitely some huge problems with the site not being able to cope with the number of users trying to order. I have to admit I got a little impatient at points and kept clicking 'add to cart' as it looked as though nothing was happening. This meant at one point I had over $2,500 of pens and ink in my cart :yikes:

Fortunately I managed to correct this myself before the lapis went out of stock. Now just have to wait for them to be delivered! Did I mention I'm impatient :roflmho:

 Ok now that is a bit scary. My fiance doesn't drink coffee at all and I only just managed to convert her to drinking tea. I will manage to convert her to coffee yet...even if it is 90% milk and sugary stuff. :ninja:

Beeping 3 am sale time for Australia, I was hanging out for a demonstrator, when I discovered the 3 am start I thought there would be no hope by the time morning came, and I was right. Beep beep beep!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
