Clairefontaine In The Uk

Does anyone know of a UK stockist that carries the fancier Clairefontaine notebooks? Their current "recommended merchant" doesn't seem to sell to the general public, and their previous one went bust...

Also, does anyone know where I can find a Clairefontaine catalogue, either in print or as a PDF? Their flash monstrosity at http://clairefontaine-rhodia-2011-fr.e-catalogues.info/ just gives me a grey screen with a Loading... wheel...

Sorry but would you mind defining 'fancier'?

The Writing Desk, Amazon and Bureau Direct all sell Clairfontaine - any help there?

I'm looking for somewhere with the full range, including all the different paper options. It's easy enough to get a plain old lined Matris in A4 or A5, but unfortunately nowhere seems to have the various Collections...

Ah! Sadly no, there does not seem to be any retailer who can offer the full range in the UK.

The Clairefontaine 2011 catalogue contains over 300 pages of products. It is simply not feasible to stock the entire range so retailers cherry-pick from the popular lines. We can order anything in for you, subject to minimum quantities. Please e-mail your requirements (do not send a PM).

Thanks, that'd be great. Now I just need to find a computer where I can actually load the catalogue...

Just so I know whether it's my computer that's acting up or their website... Can anyone get this page to load properly?

Yes - but I'm on a wired LAN at work and so speeds are very high.

I got it to load on DSL. Wow, 334 pages! I didn't know that they made all this stuff. I've never even heard of the Calligraphe line -- or knew that Clairefontaine made recycled paper.

Ok, thanks. Fairly sure it's not my internet connection that's the problem. The page just sits there with a spinny thing at 100% loaded.

I hate Flash.

Okay I am absolutely no computer type and all that but the only thing I can think of is some form of script blocking on your browser or you haven't got the latest version of Flash.

It loaded for me without any problems, although it did tell me (in French) that Flash had not been detected before carrying on loading. That's on a domestic broadband connection currently running at 4.5Mbps, using Linux Mint.

Flash: how quaint. Any way to get the catalogue as a PDF?

Not that I know of...

Will post if I find one.

Found the US distributors .pdf of a small part of Clairefontaines 2011 catalogue here http://www.exaclair.com/catalog.shtml but it might be the bit that interests you.

Some of the references may be different compared to those available in the UK and Europe. There appears to be less choice in the US - less plain paper etc. Some items MAY have different paper weights etc. Quo Vadis in the US have heavier paper in some notebooks compared to Quo Vadis in Europe. Their catalogue is on the same link.
