This is my film camera of choice, always loaded with Ilford Delta 100. When closed, it is so pocketable!

I've never been to the rangefinder forum, but I've been shooting Leica since 1996. My first Leica was an M6, then I got the M7, then the MP. I used to have the 21 summicron, 35 summicron, 50 noctilux, 75 summilux and the 90 elmarit, but had to sell much off to pay for the wedding :)

I now just have the MP (black paint) with the matching 35 cron.

I used to hang out on the Leica Users Group email list and participated in the Photo A Day project as well as the photo trade projects.

Later I started the Bay Area Leica Users Group but it was short lived. :(

I might have to pop over to the RFF sometime, but I get the feeling that it's as bad as FPN when it comes to making people want to spend money ;)

Shot this with my M6 handheld iso 100 film, 15th/sec 2.8

I have a 35 summicron. Still getting used to it.

Can't afford a Noctilux, but did pick up a 50mm Voigtlander Nokton f/1.1. It'll do for now. :)

Hmm, Don't know POTN or LUF and I only occasionally lurk on DPR. I'm also on photo.net of course, but rarely read it (seem not to be alone in that regard)...

Ahh, POTN is http://photography-on-the.net (a Canon forum) and LUF is http://www.l-camera-forum.com/ - LUF being what I call it (Leica User Forum). :P

I lurk on DPR and FM, occasionally engage on GetDPI...

I read the Leica Forum on photo.net, but I cant afford to replace my Leica M6 that was stolen in a burglary a few years ago. So, I still shoot with my Nikon SLRs. ( F4s, F5 and FM2n)

Wow, that M3 with a nokton or noctilux f 1.1 is non plus ultra, beautiful. 20 years ago I was dreaming with a less expensive thing: Yashica lynx rangefinder with its monster f 1.4 lens.Greetings.

Not shooting as much as I would like, but still an RF shooter deep down.

Not on any camera forums, but these are my rangefinders (like my pens, I've weeded out my camera collection in recent years)

From L to R:

Leica IIIb with Summar

Periflex Gold Star with stock Lumax (strictly a reflex focussing camera)

Voigtländer Vitessa T (I also have the original system case, Skoparet and Dynaret lenses and accessories)

Minox 35GL (not really a rangefinder though!)

To be honest, I use the Leica and the Minox most, the Vitessa sometimes, and the Periflex not at all these days.

I understand the pull of the Leica, because of the usability and the results, but my favourite of the four is the Vitessa because of the way it's built.

Takes a bit of effort to get your head around all the setting variations, but it's an absolute delight to use and the jpeg image quality is so good that I'll be shooting RAW much less from now on. RAW shooting is on demand at any time with the press of a button, so that option's always there. Only picked it up on Thursday, but so far I'd have to say it's exceeded my expectations.

Congrats on getting one so soon. I didn't know they were even available now.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
