'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'

I'm just a lurker here, but I am a bit of a rangefinder fan and I was active on the RFF about ten years ago - same name. I still have, and use, various rangefinders: Leicas, Mamiyas, Makinas and good old Nottman, a converted Polaroid 110B.

I'm awaiting the arrival of a Fuji X100 (that LOOKS like a rangefinder).

I'm putting up my old website this week. In only have about 40 images up, all from the Lower 9th Ward post-Katrina. All were taken with an M6 and a Tri-Elmar.

Jeffrey, wonderful images and I'm glad to see there's another fan of the WATE and MATE :)

Here's three of my faves, M9, M7 and Omas 360 ~

Good to see so many rangefinder enthusiasts!!

This is my current one after the M8 and M9-P:

Absolutely love the output of this camera. I do however miss the great colors of the M9 sometimes so might buy one back at some point.

And an example (with the M9P btw)

My pens have souls

They lie, dormant, waiting silent for my touch to awaken them....

They are beautiful and elegant, a throwback to a time when things were made with more character, patience, and beauty....

You may find that you slow down and write with more care and thought...

I like old technologies that still work perfectly well....

These thoughts expressed elsewhere in this site about fountain pens also apply to Leica film cameras; as well as to wet shaving with a fine lather, razor, and badger brush (I belong to Badger & Blade as well as to RFF, LUF, and LaVidaLeica).

Nicely said; from a simple fountain pen to a roll of film with a Leica rangefinder...kind thoughts.

I'm not on any of the forums, but I do shoot Leica. I have a IIIf (actually a factory-converted IIIc from 1949), and an M(240). Lens-wise, I've got the current 35 'cron asph., which is rarely parted from the M, a Zeiss 50/2 that splits time between the M and my little Olympus EM1, and 3 LTM lenses: a 50 Summitar, 35 Summaron, and 90 Elmar.

My avatar/profile photo is a detail from one of my M shots, come to think of it. :)

Nice kit, nice pic. It's the kind of picture one can't resist captioning in one's head.

So what's your caption, Barnaby?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
