How nice to see photography and fountain pens combined in one go! Well I`m more into photography myself than into fountain pens. Like I spend more money on Leica gear and photography..much more than I do on fountain pens. However I do alternate between photography/collecting and pen writing/collecting. In photography I actually prefer taking photos than collecting cameras though to some degree it`s intertwined. How can one not have it combined either for fountain pens or for cameras! I find it a double standard that people use digital and a fountain pen. I`d figure film and fountain pen would go more hand in hand and something like ball point/gel and digital cameras would be more appropriate?

Ok here is some of my Leica gear which I use and have a blast with :))!!

I wish they`d improve the specs more dramatically rather than some tweaks here and there for the market of people who collect different versions of the near same body.

I dont own a digital camera yet, and I still shoot B&W film with 2 Nikon SLRs. A FM2n and a F4s.

I'd love to get a Leica M6TTL with a 50mm Summicron lens. Borrowed one from a friend a couple of years back, and shot a few rolls of film with it, and loved it. Too bad Leica gear is still so expensive.

I'd rather have the Leica Ti M6TTL myself -- but I always did have a thing for titanium.

Hi. I am new to this forum but have used range-finders since I was 12 [Argus C-3]. I am a Leica shooter but also love my visoflex.

I am also on RFF, same user name: JDR. I shoot with a lovely M7 that is now in the capable hands of Sherry Krauter getting a thorough CLA. I also use a Minolta CLE. On both cameras I use a 40mm Rokkor lens, originally designed for the CLE. The lens on the M7 has been modified to pull up the 35mm frame lines. I usually shoot Ilford XP-2 film at ISO 250. Then, I use a Nikon V scanner and Photoshop CS5 to get the image ready to print. For printing i use either a Canon 5100 or Canon 9500 printer.

Talk about not paying attention... My user name of RFF is, John Rountree, not my initials like I use here. I am sure this means nothing to anybody, but I just wanted to set the record straight and I don't see any way to edit my original post.

Wow, BKH, I'd forgotten that I had wanted to get a 75 mm (and even a 135 mm) for my M6 TTL until I saw your post. However, I have a 35, 50, and a Tri-Elmar (28, 35, 50, if I recall correctly) for that camera. I also have a Leica IIIc, with a 35 mm, 135 mm and a Russian 85 mm (I think). I haven't used either for a while, but I might just have to get out the M6 and do some shooting with it.

Awesome camera. I've used the Panasonic version. The filter adapter really improves the handling IMHO.

Hi colrehogan,

Nice gear that you have! Get cracking and get those lenses the 75mm and 135mm! Start shooting some more film! Like I said earlier it don`t seem to make any sense fountain pen users posting their digital gear and shooting a digital camera for it seems oxymoranic. They should be shooting film gear along with using a fountain pen. The worse offenders are those buying say a Leica M9 or M8-8.2 then using a non Leica lens baaah humbug!

Ahhhh...

As they used to say, your not using a REAL Camera until you get up to 8x10.

YMMV
