i was wondering if there exists 100% cotton 8 1/2 x 11 legal pads? i searched google to no avial. something just like crane qaulity in a legal pad. white, ivory or yellow.

other then that what are your opinions on simply the finest bar none pad this size? no rhodia, etc because they are not that size. i also mean a different level than rhodia. rhodia is quite nice but it is not crane imo. i understand this will be expensive.

thank you

If you want a pad of 100% rag paper, go to a printer, select your paper and have them bind 1 edge. That's what I did when I inherited a Goyard portfolio with only 10 sheets left. The portfolio alone is over $1000 and they wanted $135 for a pad of mediocre paper? For $30, I ended up with 3 pads of great paper that I'll enjoy using.

Good luck!

super! that is a perfect idea! crane paper in my opinion is cheap for what it is quite frankly. i will just take 50 pages of mine at a time to a printer and have them bind it.

i know there is better paper but i am pretty sure that is better than any legal pad's on a stores shelves.

that solves that!

thank you. i never thought of doing that.

i thought i'd just mention. this goes into a alligator skin agenda i had made by a tanner in florida. it does not have the collectors appeal of goyard but i wanted alligator. i actually have my eye on a goyard right now but i don't think i will spend it. if i understand correctly, you got one heck of a deal!

I was also going to mention having pads made at a printers. I made my own pads a while back out of Southworth's 25% cotton paper and that was easier than I thought it would be.

Clairefontaine makes 100% cotton tablets in 8-1/2 x 11.

Where? I've never found them. I only see them in the 8.25x11.75 sizes.
