Kokuyo Systemic Cover Notebook

@inkypete: That was exactly where I bought mine too. But they only have 2 colour combinations; I didn't realize there were so many other colours until I visit Jetpens.com.

For those of you in Singapore, Kinokuniya at Takashimaya is having a sale on the Midori Traveler's Notebook: it's going at SGD33 each. Quite a good buy if you've been eyeing it.

Rickshaw's is not sold here. You can only get them online. And postage is so expensive despite the fact that the dollar is low. Here, I use my Braun Buffel pad holder and Rhodia! Sadly the Rhodia is also rare in Singapore. What a pity. I am however considering to get more traveller notebooks, especially one in a small size and another large one!!

If you're looking for a FP Friendly Pad, look to the web site Until Utopia. He's Singapore based and markets his pads locally there.

By the way Apica CD11's fit very well too and for my fellow Aussies Kinokinuya in Sydney have them in stock at just $3.50 - a good buy for us locals.

Just got a Midori diary. They are on discount because the diary is quickly becoming outdated.

But a good deal, cause I can chuck aside the diary refills and use a notebook in it!

I really liked the stationery store on Orchard Road called )(I think) Write Right. It was about level 6 of one of the main centres. Excellent stationery shop.

I believe that the FPN user TMLee actually does Until Utopia. PM him for more information.

There is a facebook page as well. His journals are lovely... I have held back only for one

reason that I can never find anything precious enough to write in those beautiful books.

As for the Midori Traveler Notebook, I am loving it! It is really worth it, for the leather, as

you cannot get anything else this stylish. I find the knot at the back quite an irritation,

however, and I remove it when I want to write, sometimes. But it's a nice notebook for

writing on your lap or on uneven surfaces. And it has many nice accessories to go along!

I haven't heard of a store called Write Right! Where is that? I only know of Prologue, Kino,

NBC and Taka's NBC(Stationery Section) that sell a large range of stationery...

Hello Everybody! First Post.

Just wanna say I recently bought a B5 Systemic and it's this one:

Kokuyo Systemic B5

It's threefold instead of two, extra slots in the middle for cards and another big one. I put clairefontaine on the left and the stock edge title B5 notebook that comes with it. -PP

Hmm, I can't locate Write Right too; I can only find Urban Write in Orchard Central when I was looking for Campus notebooks as refills for my Kokuyo Systemic but unfortunately Urban Write doesn't carry any.

The Kokuyo Systemic B5 looks lovely with a middle section!

Sorry guys - it is Urban Right - they have Write Right written on the bags as a sort of motto. My apologies. Excellent stationery store.

Thanks for the post. I saw these while in Japan, but at the time I was too busy oogling pens. Anyway, I just ordered the A5 from Jetpens and can't wait to set it up.

Jet Pens have great gear but their delivery to Australia is outrageous. Minimum $65 for a small order. Ridiculous.

@inkypete: $65?! That's robbery! :blink:

For those of you reading this, I am wondering, what makes you prefer a Kokuyo Systemic Notebook over a Midori or vice versa?

I am curious to know how people use these 2 quite different notebook systems.

That was the cheapest option - it went up to $200 from there. Obviously not interested in the Aussie market. Hope Brian Goulet picks up this range.

I use Midori for travel journaling. It holds tickets, etc., and refillable for each trip. It handles all that I put in and on it.

These are what I use at home that will fit the Kokuyo Systemic: Apica CD11, Rhodia, Moleskines, Original Crown Mill, Verge de France, and Clairefontaine Triompe. (I may have a few more in the cupboard)

I just need to figure out how to incorporate it into the Systemic. cloud9:

@elena: Thanks for sharing. Why did you not use the Systemic for travel journaling as well?

I haven't received my Systemic yet, but the Midori is perfect size for traveling. It fits nicely in purse or backpack, and it looks classy all on it's own. I have inserts that can hold currency, etc.

Just ordered a Midori for the same reason. The Systemic is a different product with different application I think. I use my Systemic more as a lightweight meeting notebook.
