Julie, I have a couple of these Levenger Carezza pen sleeves....they are awesome, you will love it.

The pen sleeve arrived today. You are right! It's perfect for what I wanted.

Aren't they the softest leather? I stand mine up in a pocket of my purse and it works perfectly. So glad you like it as well.

I was surprised by how thin it is. Just like a, uh, sleeve. happyberet.gif Very soft!

There's two little pen pockets/holders sewn into the left breast pocket of my uniform shirts, practical.

And you can't see the pen clips when you close the pockets.

I must admit that sometimes I worry a little about my shirts when I carry my fave pens like that, but the pens haven't leaked anything yet, even though the Duofold has got a tendency to unscrew its cap when I walk around.

There's been no major ink/shirt accidents yet, though, so I hope for the best. :D

I got a Quiver just this past week (single pen, fits on the spine) for my small moleskine journal which I always have in my purse. It's a really nice product - I will definitely get at least one more for a larger journal. They also turned the order around same day, which I always appreciate. I ordered direct from the company, with which I am in no way affiliated. Link to the one I got is here:

I have cute eyeglass cases, the flip-top type, faux leather. I have a blue and a yellow. I have other carriers as well, but these are my favourites.

Just a quick photo of my home made pen pouch. It is so simple, even people who hate sewing could make it. My belt goes through the loop at the top, and the pouch goes in my trouser pocket with the pen inside. It stops the pen from getting scratched by other things in the pocket, and keeps the pen safe. Its the best, and definitely the cheapest solution I've found so far.

I love this! So much, that I'm going to go try to make one like it right now.

In my purse, in an inner pocket where 1) it won't fall out and 2) it's easy to find. In the office I clip it to my shirt collar.

My purses are large but never cluttered, probably because I have a lot of different ones that I rotate, so trash always gets thrown away.

Rather surprised no one's mentioned this, but during the work day at least one FP lives in my hair. I usually have to tie my hair back to so that it doesn't get into my way while working at lab, so hey, instant pen-holder. Always there when you need it, nothing to irritate and dangle around one's neck.

For transport back and forth between work and home, I have a little plastic case for the pens that I can stand upright in my laptop messenger bag.

Use that for wooden pencils, but it doesn't work for any of my other writing implements. If the thing has a clip, it gets tangled in my hair. No clip, and there is the risk of it slipping through and getting lost. I am willing to risk that on a cheap wooden pencil, but not my FPs.

The pencil trick was much appreciated by the ladies who used to sit behind me during choir practice. I would feel a light tug, hear a bit of scribbling on sheet music, then the pencil would get tucked back in with a whispered, "Thank you." We were a close bunch.

I've actually never had a problem with the clips tangling in my hair, or having a pen fall through. Then again, I have a lot of hair to shove a pen into, and the most expensive FP I keep at work cost me $15.

Slightly notorious for completely forgetting that I have a pen in my hair, and walking around to all sorts of seminars with pen(s) in my hair, or all the way home with a pen in my hair. (This sometimes leads to hilarious moments of me whining about "where did all my pens go," before someone points out their location ON MY HEAD.) Case in point, dropped by a friend's home last night, completely forgetting that I shoved a pen in my hair after taking care of some correspondence.

Although I've not used my hair for a pen, I use my pony tail all the time for my paint brushes. There were times when I went to the store and noticed I was getting strange looks. I had forgotten to take the paint brushes out of my hair. LOL

Oh, I hear ya...used to amuse my husband all the time.

And how's this for sad: I was once tearing my workspace apart trying to find the pencil I was just using 10 seconds ago, goshdarnit. My sister wandered in and asked me what was wrong. I couldn't answer immediately...I first had to take the pencil out of my clenched teeth. :headsmack: Not my finest moment.

My hair is pretty thick but pretty straight (except for one evil cowlick ) - that may be why the pencils tend to wiggle their way through.

What's another really, terribly absent-minded situation is when I forget that a certain pen/sharpie is a "load-bearing" pen. And then hair goes. Everywhere. X_X

I usually carry a large deep bag to work, but the inside pockets are too high and short to put my pen case in and have it stay put. I've been concerned about keeping the pens upright and not having any ink accidents in my nice bags, so I finally worked out the following solution. Beaded silk yarn, crocheted sling for my leather 2-pen case, with a ring attachment to use my S-clip. Many purses have an inside key ring attachment, mine does not, but it does have a small loop label up on the inside, and I can clip this to it to hold the pen case to the side and upright.

I designed and knitted a wearable pen and Rhodia paper pad cozy over the Christmas break.

If you're a knitter, I posted the pattern free on the 4Shared file sharing site (.pdf file) here. The matching mini paper pad holder is here.

There are some really cool ideas here.

I'm another one who clips pens into my neckline -- but NOT Pelikan or anything else with slippy caps. And I check occasionally. (I'm missing a Targa barrel because I didn't do that.)

For back-up, I have a small, flat oval cigar case that fits 4 pens and cost about $72 (has a top that slides down over the bottom). It's very strong and better made than the fountain-pen case I'd gotten a couple of years earlier that just disintegrated at the seams.

Nicely done! I was thinking of using the rest of the beaded silk to make a slipcase for my Rhodia pad. It has a Rhodia cover, but can still get smooshed around in the bag with its open sides. I once walked into a Prada store and flipped at the price for an iPod case, and started doing my own. I've knitted forever, and find that a crocheted bag, especially using the nylon yarns available, is near indestructable and always looks new. I work near the garment district and also can grab good bag hardware there.

I usually have a separate pocket sewn into most of my bags/purses for pens and little trinkets.

Otherwise, since I never leave the house without a coat/jacket of some sorts,

I just shove them in my coat pocket (and hope my pens will never leak). :)
