Best Parker Pen?

Parker 75 sterling

There are many beautiful P75 finishes, but I have a soft spot for the sterling silver in particular. Not only are they attractive pens, they are lovely to write with, and have a good range of nibs to suit all tastes.

The plethora of P51 votes is no surprise, but I'm amazed at the lack of support for the P75.

Parker 51.

At least IMHO. I have only a decade of experience with FPs. Since the mid-2000s, FPs are my only writers. I used on a daily basis a Montblanc Bohème (fine nib), a P51 Mark II (fine), 2 P51 Mark II (extrafine), a Duofold Centennial (extrafine), a Parker 95 (fine), a Parker 25 (fine).

I have never met a pen that writes so well as an aerometric P51 II. I usually fill it with Aurora blue ink, in that it is a bit darker that the Quink permanent blue ink. I don't like black inks, and the Waterman blue and the Montblanc midnight blue inks are not good for me for different reasons.

I gave as a present most of these pens, a mistake I am not going to do in the future, in that one must keep as many pens as possible, due to different uses, papers etc. and they have to be ready there for practical use. At the moment I still have and use a P51 with EF nib (daily), the Duofold and the P95 (almost daily), and have not enough experience with the P25, since I have used it a couple of days and don't know what ink to use and on what paper it can work better. Usually I work on Clairfontaine, Tecco MB90, Pigna, and other lesser kinds of paper, never less that 85, 90 mg.

I have no experience of the P45, P66 and P75, so I can't tell if they are as good or better writers than the P51. Moreover an excellent pen for me is not necessarily the best pen for other people.

51 if you want a nice looking great writer, duofold if you want a nice looking nice writer, vacumatic if you want a great looking nice writer. but that's just my opinion

P51s, P75s are the best for me. Though I like my Dufolds, Vacumatics ,61s, 65s, 45s too.

A P51, a P75 and a P45 are always clipped to my shirt pocket. I can't move without these three.
