design.y make gorgeous notebooks with fantastic paper. I have one in each size and can recommend them wholeheartedly.

Oh LORD, I hope sincerily they survived, the factory of those artist is in Sendai.

Thank you for your concern.

There's no need to worry.

Design.Y and the craftsman, Mr. Yoshino are safe!

I talked with Mr. Yoshino on the phone 7 days after earthquak.

He is unspeakably shocked by the earthquake and tsunami.

He said "I prepared for death when the earthquak occurred.".

Luckily, He and his family survived!

And He took minimal damage.

He is still enthusiastic about his work.

In fact, He started work as a designer again.

He also has no problem making notebooks.

However, Now Japan has some problems.

he'll have to wait until problems are resolved.

Untill logistics return toward normal and the problem about the nuclear power station is solved, Design.Y will stop to accept new orders temporarily.

Thank you for international aid!

Thank you SOOOO MUCH for that update. I was fearing the worst, given their location in Sendai. I'm still very sad every day as we hear the increasing totals of those who died.

I love my two notebooks, and will order some more after they open back up.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

"design.y" does speak to me, but honestly ... making a mark in these would feel like I'm defiling it.

I had the same issue with my 336. So I dived straight in: wrote a little sonnet of dedication; suitably awful.

Starting with something truly dreadful relieves expectations of anything coming afterwards

Anyway, three months later and I'm about 10 pages from finishing the notebook. Today, I sent the order for my new 336 to Mr. Yoshino. I'll have to think of some more atrocious drivel with which to defile the first page...

Too many pens; too little writing.
