Best Online Pen Store?

Gonz

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have the goal to become the best online store in the world. I know that I have a very long way to go but I believe that it is possible.

What do you look for when you shop online?

Prices, extra costs, service, alot of information about the pen, information in different languages?

Please let me know so that I can come closer to my goal.

What do I need to do in order for you to shop at my store?

Kind regards

Niklas

Well, I've been looking around your shop, and I only see one reason not to shop in it: you don't carry Parker. Which makes sense, since Parker isn't properly Nordic (French, I think). Also, your variety is kinda limited.

Hi

Please explain more about my variety, what do you mean?

PM if you want or send an e-mail to info@stylos.se

Kind regards

Niklas

Try this ebay seller.I have had two good experiences with them, but I prefer to buy the small packages of pens, sold under Buy It Now,rather than bid for the more exotic single pens.

They are prompt with sending stuff but do expect to waith a week or two, since they are coming from China to the U.K.Customs has not been an issue as prices are low.

I also concur about R Lewertowski on Ebay(pen seller from France),where again I have had good experiences.

No connection with either of these companies other than as a satisfied customer.

Sorry, this store does not exist.

Well, your products seem very very nice, no point there, but I'd like to have a few more cases to choose from, for example :)

I had a good experience at

www.thewritingdesk.co.uk

very helpful with queries, and prompt service. No affiliation etc etc.

+1 Shipping was very reasonable and quick. Service was very good.

In Ottawa? Check out The Ottawa Pen Posse

I have bought from www.thewritingdesk.co.uk and had great service. I live in the U.S. My brother has also bought from writingdesk.co.uk and had no problems. One nice thing about the writingdesk is that they will check the pen before it leaves the store.

I bought a couple of Lamy ABC pencil 3.15 lead holders, Safaris and Al-Stars from www.redfingerprint.com . I was hesitant with my first time ordering from the company, so I just purchased a small order. Both times that I've ordered through the company, the shipping was a flat rate of 10.00 dollars. I had no problems with the company. I am not crazy about the redfingerprint website but would use them again.

missing-pen.de and penhome.co.uk. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

I concur.

I have used both The Writing Desk and Missing Pen and have been very satisfied.

Based in Germany, Missing Pen might be a better address for German pens and carries also a large number of inks.

The Writing Desk was one of the first stores outside France to stock the 100 ml Herbin ink bottles and that was a strong incentive for me to order from them.

I am not sure whether Portuguese Customs treats arriving parcels from Germany better than arriving parcels from the UK, which opted out of some otherwise common EU policies, but it may be something worth considering if you want to avoid Customs charges and delays.

I noted that most of them are in Europe or U.S.A.

How about Asia side ? Any suggestion ?

I've used Melpens repeatedly: highly recommended.

Just ordered a pen from PenGallery as well - waiting to see how it all goes.

Too many pens; too little writing.

With European sites, that's because the original poster specifically expressed a preference for those. For those residing in the EU, easiest way to avoid getting whacked by customs is to stay within the EU (and those Euro countries with an agreement with the EU).

VAT in many/most of the EU countries is basically around 20%; add in processing fees, etc., and it can really hurt.

If you are looking for supplies, cathedral pens from the UK are great, to me atleast. They charged me no shipping, all the way to sweden:)

- Here are some of my favourites:

www.stylos.se

www.thewritingdesk.co.uk

www.pengallery.com

The one I have used the most is the writing desk. Great selection, fast and reasonably priced shipping, good service.

Also have a look at pelikanpens.co.uk; Pelikan pens as you'd expect, but also Noodler's inks and a few other things; sometimes a useful alternative to TWD.

There is a London-based online luxury pen store at http://www.executivepensdirect.com/. You can find there not only fountain pens but also calligraphy sets, refills, leather journals and a selection of corporate and promotional gifts. Many products can be engraved and personalised what makes them perfect gifts for special occasions.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
