I am thinking of buying one more everyday pen and while surfing the net i found this fp which looks very nice for my taste. Do you own any tombow fp or even tried one?

Thank you for your time!

Yes I confess, I am still using my Jotter

Hi Jotterius

and a Happy New Year. I have this exact Havana (Slightly goldish-coloured steel) with an F nib for a year now and it is a very good pen: Great build quality, good flow with most inks, a bit on the heavy side, particularly if you post the cap,(a heavy-metal pen). Comfortable rubber grip with enough thickness, it can be taken apart completely by pulling the nib and feed and therefore very easy and fast to clean. It did not come with a converter (but they are easy to find) and it takes International Cartridges. The nib is a very stiff one, like a nail, but smooth and slightly wider than a Japanese F. Reminds me a lot of the F nib in a Rotring 600.

The impression is that of a very well made, heavy and stiff pen. I would buy it again very happily. Since then I also bought the rolerball and I must confess that I am tempted by the mechanical pencil as well!

All the best for 2011!

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
