FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown Ordering Information

I went for the whole hog: :eureka: bought a Parkville Pen/Bexley Chocolate Ebonite Submariner with a stub nib just specifically in order to have a pen that would match this ink.

Go large or go home! Nicely done, Bill!

Well, that's very coincidental. I was considering the American the Beautiful in black with the rose gold for this ink ...

It's good to know that I won't be the only one in the doghouse. :)

Well, I can always point out (rationalize) ;) that I'm actually reducing the number of fountain pens that I own. I had about 8, but now have about 5, though higher quality than before. And I've sold off 9 bottles of ink, so that has to count for something, right? ;)

If you can stand to wait a little longer, there will be a review up on the board before the end of the weekend, with a lot of writing samples...

Maybe next weekend then? :)

I suspect you are so busy you haven't even had the chance to start yet. But if you have, is the usual nib creep still there with this new ink?

Hi Stylo,

Hopefully sooner....

I finished the review, and started scanning all 10 pages of it :D (this really took quite a bit of frugality, considering I had just a Kcat vial of the stuff... ). After scanning (still need to do 5 pages) there will be a little resizing, creating a few html pages to prevent people with low bandwidth connections to burn up their phone lines, creating a story around those pages, and then posting it.

Looking back at what I wrote just now, it may well be next weekend indeed :(.

My biggest problem is my day job, which occasionally runs till 3 am, like today, and admin duties for a certain pen board... :D

I hope you can be patient a little longer :D, it now is just digitizing the stuff...

Warm regards, Wim ;)

You guys have no idea what you're in for. Really. Just make sure your seats are glued to the floor.

raf.

You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes... you just might find... you'll get what you need...

Wim, you are lovely to put in the time and we are eagerly but patiently waiting for the review. ;) And I echo what Maja said about not burning out on that job! (But I know how that can go.)

This thread makes me happy. :roflmho: Please take your time with the review wim, and don't forget to take a little time for yourself in addition to your job, and admin duties at whatever forum you are talking about .

Can we get an update on ordered bottles vs. paid for? Thanks.

Heath

Hi Heath,

I'm up to 105 bottles ordered that I've sent invoices out for. Fantastic. I'm not the money guy, so I'm not sure about how many have paid.

I'm ready to start shipping....and getting darn excited to receive the first shipment of ink, I don't have a date yet, but it's not too far off!

Bryan,

Thanks for the update. It's great that there's that much interest in the ink. Seeing all those boxes though, I just want to caution you to take steps to avoid carpal taping syndrome.

No promises here, but Bryan should have the ink sometime next week :D

Bryan may get the ink next week? WOW! Talk about under-promise and over deliver. I was expecting the ink just in time for Christmas...but if the mailman brings me a present before then...great!

Bryan and all FPN members involved with bringing us this ink:

Thank You!!!

If the bottles are ready to be sent out -

Could you p-l-e-a-s-e post up a picture of the final bottle label?

(I'm curious to death here )

When I get the shipment in, I'll be sure to post pictures! Honestly, I'm clueless as to the final look so it will be a surprise for me also!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
