I just ordered the owl stamp - how incredible - $3.99 for an intricately detailed stamp that leaves such a beautifully crisp impression. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this.

I'm glad you found an owl. I take it that's your emblem/totem/device since it's in your avatar too. Using the Tandy leather stamps as seals opens up a lot of affordable options.

After shopping around online for leather stamps I feel like you can get some better options with leather stamps that you can't get with the mass produced wax seals.

After they arrive. I find that a lot of the mass produced items are small or a little feminine. Its a good way to get more masculine designs.

Physicsgirl came up with a great way to get wonderful wax seals inexpensively so I wanted to get the word out. (Thank you Physicsgirl!) Leather stamps make great wax seals. Tandy Leather (click here for Tandy link) is once source for these although there may be others. Here's my favorite seal so far. I put a wood handle from the craft store on it which cost an extra 70¢. The metal handles that Tandy sells don't seem to fit very tightly so I don't recommend them.

P.S. - Goulet Pens carries Herbin Supple sealing wax one of the waxes that can go through the mail.

When my wax sealing reaches the point of not being very good, I'll know I have improved! LOL Mine are AWFUL. I plan to practice a lot after all this moving is behind me. I wasn't aware of swirling ... tell me more about this, please.
