Appearance & Design (7/10)

It has nice design; modern and not usual (even if this telescopic system first appeared in Rotring fp)!

Construction & Quality (5/10)

Weight & Dimensions (6/10)

It is heavier than expected given its small size, but if you do not place the cap you may write easily.

Nib & Performance (7/10)

Medium nib, steel and it is rather smooth.

Filling System & Maintenance (5/10)

Mini-cartridge. There is no converter for this model.

Cost & Value (8/10)

It is an inexpensive Parker fp, bought for approximately 42 usd.

Conclusion (Final score, ~6,5/10)

I think it is good value for money but it is more worthy to buy a Pelikan M200 for double the money!

I have a black one and it writes very well, smooth and the right amount of ink is delivered. It always start at the first try. I carry it inside a leather pouch with thick paper blank cards to take notes. I found the built quality to be good.

I have to judge according to the best available, not what was expected according to the price even if this has to be taken into account forming just part of the extra marks given.

very concise and nice review! thx!!

i do think it's over priced, tho'!! ;)

Thanks lovemy51. I was on the verge of considering it overpriced or good value for money, but the design as well as the fact that you expect only minor or no problems from a parker, made me write the second.

The Parker's a revamped version of the Rotring: they're doing something a lot like (but much uglier than) a Newton at the moment as well...
