Thanks for the feedback guys! I wish I had more pens to review.

Nice choice, congrats! If I were going to get my first 146, I'd get this one. You are going to get that beautiful matching case, aren't you? :puddle:

If only I had money left over from buying this beauty... :P

I have not inked mine, because mine came with a Medium nib, and I wish to do a nib exchange for an EF, which they will do for $50 on an unused nib. So, I'm waiting until I have time to drive up to San Francisco's Boutique to turn it into Service. They'll so it free if it is within 14 days of purchase and you bought it from a boutique. If you just bring in a brand new condition pen without documentation ( ie - from eBay) they send it to service, and if under the microscope, they determine that the nib is, in fact, unused, they charge you $50.00. If the nib appears used, and you still want it exchanged, it costs $275. Anyway, I stray from the point. Your review was fabulous.

I too wanted to exchange my M nib for a F nib, but they quoted me $60, which would have basically negated the discount I got this pen for. It's surprising that they charge Americans $10 less seeing that our two currencies are almost on par...

Looks very elegant. Congrats on having it.

It's a lovely pen, but it's slightly misleading for them to use the UN system logo rather than the UNICEF logo.

Hello

I think it would have something to do with the laureation of the cap. It seems to flow quite naturally and elegantly beneath the stars(star).

I believe the nib would have been the very acme for the logo you mention.

And what do you mean still in the box? Inconceivable! Ink it up right now!

Is this the pen the same as the 146 except for the cap ring?

Obviously, this special edition's a lot rarer on the aftermarket, so I am glad the OP has one and loves it. The cap does look nice.

Beautiful pen Apotheosis!

And yes Basset, other than the cap, the pen is exactly the same. I guess this is good in a way: if the pen were ever to be damaged, you could still get it repaired regardless of a limited stock. AFAIK, you could also take the gold top off the cap and transplant it onto another 146 cap.

Hmmm...unfortunately I can't edit the original post. I had wanted to update the pictures with some better ones. But ah well, I'll just post them here at the bottom. Enjoy!
