Hi,

I'm posting a copy of my post for this auction here. The original post and the information about this TWSBI pen can be found here.

I'll PM my full name and address to the moderator, as required by FPN rules. FPN disclamer applies here also: "While the FPN supports the cause, it does not have any active part in the conduct of the auction, and cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from people participating."

For more details, read the info below:

Who wants a TWSBI Diamond Piston-Filling Pen (medium nib)?

(click here for info on this new pen)

Hi,

I'm getting two of these pens. I ordered a 'spare' pen but saw a lot of people who wanted one but were too late to order. I also would like to sponsor a good charity course: Compassion. This charity organisation helps children in the third world with food, cloathing and education. I 'adopted' two small girls through them. Since the economic crisis a lot of sponsors weren't able to keep sponsoring their adopted children. Luckely Compassion has a reservre fund to fill in the gap so this children won't dropp out. I would like to make an extra donation to this fund, so this is my proposal toy you all.

I'm offering one of my TWSBI pens (with Medium nib) for sale to the highest bidder. If you're interested, mail me the price you're willing to donate for this pen and your address. The total amount you'll pay (excluding shipping costs) will be donated to Compassion (including the money I have to pay for the pen in the first place). Please email me your bid/offer at: afinepen AT gmail DOT com. The highest bidder can pay me with paypal or (within Europe) with a bank transfer. Note: the shipping costs (about $8 regular mail) will be added to your bid.

I'll ask Speedy to ship the pen directly to you from Taiwan, or, if that's logisitcally impossible, I'll forward the pen to you myself from Holland. [update: the pen will be forwarded from Holland to make things easier - no additional costs]

Please email me your bid and don't post it here so we don't cloud up this forum. I'll post the highest bid from time to time and will post winner in the end (username and bid).

May I ask for a starting bid? A nice way to share our wealth with others and to become the proud owner of one of the first 300 TWSBI Diamond pens!!

Thanks,

Bert from Holland

(P.S. I hope I'm doing this the right way, but if instructed to change this charity auction by the moderators, I'll do so).

Good question. How about the 4th of July? That's on a Sunday.

When will the bidding end?

I'll extend the auction to 18th of July, since no one made a bid for this pen?

(Did I do something wrong??)

To make it clear: it's an auction for one of the first 300 TWSBI FP, with M-nib, new, not inkted and all the money (except shipping costs) will got to Compassion.

The pen will be send to the winner from Holland.

Thanks,

Bert

P.S. The first pens are arriving: see images here.

how does one go about bidding?

Unfortunatelly,

This auction wasn't a succes since nobody seemed interested.

About ten days after the closing date only one person made a bid of $20, but she decided

to buy a TWSBI pen directly from their Ebay store, since my pen also suffered from the leaking-seal-syndrome

and I don't know when it will be fixed again (PM was sent to Speedy, as required).

I'll make a donation to Compassion myself and close this post....

Thanks,

Bert
