The ink is called "Alpennebel" by Tintenlabor®. I think I like it.

Lovely pieces.

Evocative colour and work. @christof.. I read that Edelweiss flowers have a tinge of purple. I don't know if it's true, but if it is, you've managed to distill the Alps with your drawing

@christof -- Lovely drawings!  It's amazing the range of shades you're getting in the three different pieces.  Is that a factor of the paper, or the different pens used, or both?

I have never seen an edelweiss in nature. This flower grows where I will never get to. But I have seen Enzian.

The different shades are created by diluting the ink. I therefore use a brush when drawing.

Ha!

That artwork is making me think of a trip a high school social studies teacher ran to Guatemala (mid 1970s) -- sophomore year was "World Cultures" and it was quarter courses -- four out of six regions of the world, and she was doing "Latin America".  I came home from school and told my parents about the trip, and their IMMEDIATE reaction was, "Oh, do they need chaperones?  We'd HAPPILY volunteer!" B)

So ended up going with my dad to a local sporting goods store to get heavy duty insect repellent the teacher had recommended (don't remember the brand now) and the guy at the counter said, "Oh, are you going to the jungle?"  And my dad said, "Well, actually, YES...."

Nice drawing, BTW....

I tried growing a few varieties of Gentian, but they didn't like my soil or climate or both. Thankfully they fowered  before they passed on :)

To you Moms

That's really nicely illustrated, I imagine many Mums would love receiving this from a son or daughter (even any colourful variations that might exist between the traditional genders).

@christof and @GlenV -- Lovely work, both of you!

I can draw stuff that is in front of me, but I am not an illustrator by ANY stretch of the imagination....
