This is the typical landscape/ scenery here. This time I used a vintage diary (and also bic ballpoint pens) which is fun to use, but gives me also some unpredictable results.

I did this today, more looking at the details than at the whole scenery and it was very satisfying.

Also this is my current sketching kit for the commute. I use black Sailor nanoink in that AL-Star.

Very nice work. What are the sketchbooks you're using? Clearly the paper seems FP friendly....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

This guy was so cool. I could sketch him thoroughly. I added the colours on my way back home on the train and the black contours when I was home.

I'm thinking about switching to my EF nib in this Lamy, but I also use it for writing addresses on envelopes because of the nanonik and I don't want an EF for that, neither another pen with nanoink, nor switching nibs constantly, hm?

You can buy another Lamy pen with an EF nib, but the Lamy nibs size are not stable. Often EF nib writes as M or F.

:) Love how sunny this sketch looks despite the grey and black. Happy hols?

Lovely thanks 😊

This was my view at breakfast. So much more to look at than the sand, sea & sky out of the other window.

That's definitely a view that encourages the imagination to concoct all manner of stories.

And I can almost feel the heat reflecting off the walls... B)

Thanks for sharing :)

Wonderful urban sketching, Parker as usual! The number on each work, aside from the date, are you aiming for a certain goal or is it a particular series in a project? (Just curious, and stickybeaking :P ).

I admire all (ALL) of your work you put up. But I LOVE THAT INK WELL! Could you please show us a close up photo if you get a chance?

Tas, you are always so great with your value placements. Enjoy your holiday. :)

^^^^ Andrew and Tas, love your contributions, a wonderful contrast to my skraggly skribbles :D

I'm unsure whether I like the EF in my Pentalic notebook, in the Seawhite of Brighton it performs ok, but with a bit too much feedback for my taste anyway - especially when standing.

That's a good thing about the Lamy ALs, swappable nibs, sturdy enough, quite cheap and no emotional value attached in my case. I even have a spare grip section with feed - a good investment imho. Also I really like the Sailor permanent black ink.

Here is the AL-Star. I drew this while waiting for my appointment with the doctor. My time was very limited, but when it was my turn, I was done.

This is the pentalic notebook. The paper is very nice for fountain pens, but in combination with the EF nib a bit starnge. Also with (the Sailor) ink it's a bit prone to smudging. However this makes a great notebook, but I'm probably stressing the paper a bit to much here.

I need to practice my pwnies, lol.

This is my most favourite in the pentalic notebook so far. Also I loved this monochrome girl - I gave more colour than she actually had. She had a cute tummy <3

The last sketch in the pentalic notebook so far. This time I drew over a premade background, really pushing the limits of the paper with wet media. I don't like this sketch very much, but I like the guy with the glasses and the white shirt in the back.

A dog's commute. Again, trying my luck, painting over a premade background with better results, imho. This time my A5 landscape seawhite of Brighton sketchbook, great value for very little money, highly recommended. :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
