As mentioned in the topic, I am willing to own one as well. Anybody can share the writing experience and pen quality?

Actually, this pen price is not cheap. Is it worth to collect this fountain pen?

Thanks all.

Are you referring to the Limite Edition line of Originals of their Time? If you are, you can't go wrong with this pen. It is a stunning work of art. I not only have this pen, but the entire line of OotT. I have not inked the white gold one as yet, but I have been absolutely thrilled with the performance of the Green 1935 and the gold/black. They write smooth as butter the nibs are a solid gold color and have a tiny bit of flex to them. The size is very comfortable in my hands and they can easily be utilized as daily writer's, signature pens, or just as a collector's item. But if your going to spend all that cash for one, don't let it lanquish about fill it, put it in your pocket and use it at ever possible opportunity for the pure joy of it.

Hope this helps.

A word of advice from an owner of this pen, please be careful with the hard rubber turning knob and nib section. Mine faded slightly due to the exposure of the lighting in the pen shop. I did complain to Pelikan Malaysia and they offered to exchange with any Pelikan LE (in their showroom) having the same value of the pen price. They had consulted Germany and admitted that they can't do anything to prevent the fading as it will be either sooner or later due to the daily light exposure or handling. Except for the nib and piston assembly (which is a modern one), I understand that Pelikan has to follow the material used in the 30s and to resemble the pen's era.

Overall the pen is very handsome and it is nice to hold its engraved metal part. If you like it, go ahead purchase it. I dont think you will regret it. Although it has its shortcoming, as for me, I'll keep the pen and will not regret it.

I had the entire set of the OOT and got rid of them. Why? I had heard of horror stories: fading, threads breaking and warping. To be honest I think the workmanship was read bad and the pens way too fragile. I wish I could go back in time and secure the REAL OOTs!
