Twsbi Diamond Piston-Filling Pen Presale

I should definitely clear up the entire queue over the weekend and have everything shipped by mon/tuesday. As of right now (i just got back from the post office haha), i've mailed out about 100 of 300 pens in three days, which I agree is too slow. I'll pick it up tonight and tomorrow. I'm trying to get 50-60 packages out tomorrow at a minimum.

Pen has been paid but I still have to get my shipping notice.

Me too, but I think that mahkie can't be expected to have superhuman pen-shipping abilities. He's doing this in addition to his job. Don't worry, though, as he has said that he will try to get them all out by mid-week. That's still pretty impressive IMHO.

but i'm really really really looking forward to getting mine!!

Now I know how it feels to bear the fruit of a community sourced design. I got mine today, unboxed it like a kid and was not disappointed a bit. I was surprise by the sheer size of the pen. I have taken some snaps comparing it to the venerable 51 and Pelikan Demo M205. Kudos to Mark and Speedy!

Mine has just arrived in the post. Had a quick fill with Noodler's Navajo. Stunning presentation ... 11/10 for the way the product is packaged and put together. Most impressed. Have only managed the first "a quick brown fox ..."

Thank you Mark and Speedy. You guys have got a winner with this one.

(Added later)

This is one serious pen. Writes and performs as good as it looks. Incredible quality for the price. Well done Mark, Speedy and Co.

I'm in the same boat :(

I received my pen today. Very nice built indeed. You can easily see the quality in every details of the pen. The original nib is a little bit toothy when I tested. So I smoothed it a little and it writes like a champion now -- smooth with consistent flow.

I simply cannot ask more with such price. Very very happy

I would like a M nib if there are any still available. If not, a F would be great too! PM sent

Still no shipping e-mail and it is mid week - I was an early orderer and did pay so I hope nothing is amiss as I can't wait to have the same experience when I (hopefully) get one!

I picked mine up at the post office this morning. All I can say is wow. I love all the little details and care taken in everything about the product down to the slotted plastic clips holding the pen in the case and the perfectly fitted foam inserts in the cardboard outer box.

It's incredible, such a high quality product at a low cost.

I just received shipping notification. The tracking information shows mine shipped out yesterday. I can't wait.

Attn: people who have ordered and who are looking here:

I have attempted to ship as quickly as I could, and I feel really bad shipping some of these pens so late for early payments, but I basically shipped based on ease of mass processing. As of now, I have shipped 99% of my paid for orders and am auditing my paypal records to try to find all remaining orphaned (email different from paypal account) orders. Also, tracking numbers are going out tonight, if you don't get one, email me at markperdomo@gmail.com and I can investigate.

The problem is that basically I don't have much time to investigate payment anomalies when there are 200+ people in line, but now I have more time to investigate any problems that require a personal touch. I still have a ton of open issues I am working with.

So in summary, I am very sorry for the staggered shipping. I have tried my best to cope with the sheer volume, but my response is not as fast as I would have liked. Thank you for your understanding!

TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ: 99% of pens are shipped as of right now, i'm going to spend time figuring out how to process/ship the last 1%

Thank-you Mark. I just got my shipping notification - can't wait now! I fully understand the enormity of shipping so many in, as I understand it, your "spare time". You deserve a medal - maybe FPN can strike one!

Thanks again

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
