I'm one of the lucky 100 that you've already shipped to. Thanks. Really impressed with the Taiwan Postal Service tracking system. Went to the website you provided and entered my tracking number and voila: Presented at the post office June 30th and shipped July 1st. It even showed the flight number the item is leaving on (Taiwan to Vancouver). Very slick.

This is fun. Now Canada Post's tracking show's my pen in Vancouver as of this morning at 1037 clearing customs. This will probably be the most time consuming part of it's journey.

Taiwan doesn't seem to update this once it hits canada. I looked up your order and your order has hit the Canadian mail service, with better info. Go here to check it out

Hi Mark - could you post a note if you re-send the invoices that didn't go through? I don't want to bug you cuz I know you're busy, but if it doesn't come through again I'll just order from Speedy once he gets online... :(

Yep. Thats where I went for the Vancouver arrival update. Very slick but that will probably be the end of accurate tracking. Canada Post's tracking system isn't the most reliable unfortunately. The last pen I bought was already in my hand and good to go while their tracking system still showed "accepted at origin". Maybe this will be the exception. The main thing is it's on it's way. Might even beat the bottle of J. Herbin 1670 - Rouge Hematite also on it's way.

If you're in the USA, you can enter the tracking number in the USPS web site tracking application and it will give you current status regarding domestic delivery. Mine cleared customs and left Santa Clarita, Ca. on July 4 en route to Houston. Looks as though it will make the projected July 8 delivery. This is just too much fun.

I should definitely clear up the entire queue over the weekend and have everything shipped by mon/tuesday. As of right now (i just got back from the post office haha), i've mailed out about 100 of 300 pens in three days, which I agree is too slow. I'll pick it up tonight and tomorrow. I'm trying to get 50-60 packages out tomorrow at a minimum.

Pen has been paid but I still have to get my shipping notice.

Carlos, your pen went out today, but I haven't sent shipping notices for todays batch due to Paypal having a major issue with the way I sell

When can I get one in Taiwan?

Come to a pen club meeting, or go to this store in the Daan district of Taipei: http://tylee.tw/

Lee's shop is the best!

Hello, many of you may have followed the threads in which an inexpensive piston-filling pen was designed with community input from all over the world on English and Chinese languag BBSes. See the thread on FPN here and the thread on the newer vacuum filler here (the vacuum filler is still a ways off, we have the piston filler ready though).

Anyways, after a long time in waiting (and one Red Dot Design award later), the decision has been made to offer the first 300 off of the production line to users of the FPN. These will be final production-ready pens from the TWSBI Pen company, a company with a long history of making pens.

Since you guys are writers, i'll skip to the important parts:

Pen Model: TWSBI Diamond 530

Pen Trim: The trim that will be available for this 300 piece run will be the clear demonstrator with chrome bits. Here's a picture of mine

Here's a picture of what the final packaging you will receive will look like:

post-36420-127203715586.jpg

The Nib: The nibs used are Schmidt steel nibs. I like mine. The sizes available here are EF/F/M. There are 10,000 nibs at the factory, so there aren't any limits on what nib you can choose. Also, as to the size, I would say that the nibs are "Western" sized as far as the widths of EF/F/M.

Here's what my nib looks like:

post-36420-127203733481.jpg

Price: The pens will be sold for $39.99 a piece, with $7.99 SHIPPING, regardless of # of pens ordered. YES, I WILL SHIP TO EUROPE/CANADA. Postage to Canada is $7.99, Europe is on a case-by-case basis.

Payment is through Paypal (cash or credit is ok).

Shipment/Logistics: The pens are expected in May/June. Due to a lack of a firm ship date, this thread will initially put people "in line" for a pen. When I have a ship date, I will send a Paypal invoice for the balance 2-3 weeks prior to shipping so that I can purchase the pens and get everything ready. I will email you when I ship the item, provide a tracking number, and you will receive the package after about 1 week from shipment.

To reserve your place in line, please post how many (and in what nib sizes) you would like. Also post/pm me your email address so I will be able to contact you for invoicing/shipment/etc ATTN: Mods, I hope this thread is within the rules! Please let me know by PM if I need to change anything or if this needs to be moved :)

I will take one. Count me in. sunjoy.shekhar@gmail.com
