For Artsy folks, this shade of Blue makes a very good Cyan for 4 color process or mixing.

I'm trying to get a handle on how colors mix. If I wanted to steer a color like this more in the direction of a medium-light blue (like Diamine royal blue), how would I do that?

Navajo Turquoise is VERY close to the old Sheaffer Peacock, always one of my favorite inks.

 

I found my old NoNonsense italic nib pen a few weeks ago, with a Peacock cartridge in it. Filled it back up with water and matched it up with Navajo - hard to tell them apart.

 

They are not idential, though -- on paper chromatography, the Navajo contains a couple more dyes than the old sheaffer does.

 

I don't know what the new Slovenian ink looks like, though...
