Do all fountain pens come with a converter?

I just ordered the "Sailor Sapporo." It costs about as much as my Parker Sonnet.

I do not intend to use it, ever, it's to be used as a painting/sulpture.

No. Not all Cartridge/Converter pens come with a converter. IIRC, Sailor also uses a proprietary converter.

All the Sailors I've purchased have come with a converter, including my Sapporo.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean you're only using your Sailor Sapporo as a "painting/sculpture?"

My English isn't that good. I mean, I am going to have it in a collection. Only my Parker is for daily use. This, and the others that will come in the future, will be collecting dust.

Oh okay, I understand now. I thought you were going to make a sculpture using parts from the Sapporo. It really is a good pen and writes well, so I would take advantage of using it when you get around to doing so!

Ha aww poor pens collecting dust. Keep them in a nice case!

And no, as others have said not all pens come with converters.

"What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how

infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and

admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like

a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals"

-William Shakespeare

As previously stated, no, sadly many pens do come without converters. It makes you look for one, and pay the extra money. Makes me mad.

Would it be possible to use it to shape/mold clay? It has a two-part nib, like the tounge of a snake?
