I have seen some nibs with a heart shaped hole in them. What brand is this? I know my wife would love that little feature...

Waterman Ideal nibs usually have heart-like vent holes (vintage).

Any newer models that are $150 or less?

Nakaya and Platinum are related companies and use the same nib design.

You can try a lower/mid range Platinum pen. Something like a basic black Platinum #3776 will have a nib with the heart shaped breather hole. These run around $100 new.

The 14 karat flex nib on my vintage Omas 556/S has a (very small) heart-shaped breather hole.

Some of the Dunn nibs have heart-shaped breather holes (my Dreadnaught does). So do really old Pelikans...

(I know it's not exactly what the OP asked, but for the sake of completeness...)

You don't seem them much on modern, low-priced pens, but lots of vintage pens have them. Vintage Conway Stewart, Mabie Todd/Swan, Waterman, Sheaffer and others are not that hard to find in very good condition. There are a lot of vintage Conway Stewart pens, for example, on various websites. Many of them are in great shape and cost less than $100. One more thing: I have a Sailor-brand pen (I don't know the model name) with a heart hole. The pen is supposedly from the 80's; it's stainless steel, thin, and writes flawlessly. I'm still in love with it. I got it on ebay well over a year ago. I've seen these for sale since, but rarely. Mine was NOS and I think I paid around $35 for it. You might check for these off and on because it's a great way to get a wonderful pen for not a lot of money. I hope this helps and I wish you luck. :)
