I am looking for new purple ink. Already have Private Reserve Tanzanite and Plum, Waterman Encre Violette Purple Ink, and Papier Plume Violet. What is your favorite purple?

I just ordered Diamine Violet, Pelikan Royal Blue, and PR Tanzanite. You see, I too seek the perfect purple.

Currently it's Diamine Amazing Amethyst.

I also quite like Diamine Lavender, Diamine Damsom, Levenger Amethyst, and Mont Blanc Violet.

I love the dark purple of MB Violet, its also so well behaved with great shading. I've tried other purples, Lamy, Waterman, and Private Reserve, but at least for now ;) MB Violet is my favorite.

Pelikan 4001 violet. More luminous than all of the above.

+1 for Diamine imperial purple, which i am currently using in a .9 mm stub. I also really like OMAS violet. I have PR purple mojo, which is nice but not as nice as imperial purple.

Violette Pensée might be too light and/or unintensive for you, but IMO it's still a "pretty" blue.

CdA's Storm is good but less blue, more of an aubergine.

I like Poussiere de Lune. But I get postcards with Waterman 'blurple' which I really like. Imperial purple looks great but I've never seen it in person.

Does De Atramentis (Jansen) Aubergine count as purple? I really like it.

I've got Noodler's La Reine Mauve, Diamine Damson, Diamine Imperial Purple, Diamine Violet and Conway Stewart Violet, and my favourite of those is currently Diamine Violet, a beautiful, usable, colour.

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

I love MB Violet - it's dark enough to use everyday for Business as well. I also have Noodlers Le Reine Mauve which is similar (a bit more smokey) and Noodlers Concord Grape which is more purple.

It would be good to get swatches of all these purples for comparison purposes!

I love Pel Violet and for a lighter shade, FPN's Tulipe Noir.

My favorite is MB Violet, followed by Diamine Violet and Herbin Poussiere de Lune. Waterman feathers too much and lacks any water-resistance for me.
