Stipula Suprema Pelago

The pen is absolutely gorgeous as are your pictures. But I must say I am very intersted in your journal. What is it? Where did you get it. I absolutely LOVE that there are lines on only one side of the page. Please let me know where to find it and what it is called. Thanks.

Does the cap stay on without unscrewing in a pocket? The newer Ventidues have metal and acrylic (?) threads meeting between the section and ink window. Mine bottoms out before it gets really snug. I am wondering if threads at the lower end of the section, near the nib, tighten better.

I have now done a "reviews revisited" on the Suprema which you can find here.

Ross: I can't say for sure, since I never carry my pens in my pocket. It posts quite securely, but I'm uncertain if it is secure enough for a pocket.

Dandelion:

Kudos for the pictures. I also love photography.

Read your review and blog without skipping lines -which means kept me interested all the way through. I have three Stipulas and a Levenger Verona made by Stipula. The latter is the only one who has given me flow issues. The Castoni have springy nibs with no flow issues whatsoever. I don't use them as often because of the ergonomics of the pen but the nibs are delightful to write with.

They are Russ. ( Which can't be said of the Pelikans I've used).

Dandelion,

Thanks so much for this splendid review. I really like the spirally metal groove in the barrel. Your review got me interested in Stipula's (do not have any yet).

M.

Respectfully disagreeing since 1978.

I always carry 2 pens in my pants pocket. Never yet had any brand or model to come unscrewed or to leak, including my Ventidues and Supremas. Nothing else in that pocket but chapstick, so the pens don't get scratched.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
