Visit to Pen Gallery in Kuala Lumpur

I had the pleasure over the holidays to spend some time in Singapore and Malaysia. When I got to Kuala Lumpur, I could not resist paying a visit to Pen Gallery in the Weld Shopping center.

The Weld Shopping Center is a short walk away from the famous Petronas Towers. It's a great looking store. I ended up buying a Pelikan M1000 and a Lamy Dialog 3 for less than the price I would pay for a single M1000 in Japan or most shop in Canada.

I promised not to tell you guys how much I paid, but if you ever pay a visit to Pen Gallery, you can expect a small discount.

Kuala Lumpur is a pretty city, so it was nice to combine vacations and pen buying.

I had never ordered anything from Pen Gallery before and I have a feeling I will in the future. I might also find a reason to travel back to Malaysia!

It's certainly a way to see it and also a way to let people know about the cheapest place in the world to get some nice pen.

For a long time, I had a feeling that the deal offered by Pen Gallery were too good to be true. But once I walked into the shop, I knew the owner knew how to sell pen.

I also got a chance to visit Aesthetic Bay shop in the new Ion Orchard shopping center in Singapore. So many pens! His display of Nakaya made my head turn. I bought a bottle of Judicial Black ink made by Noodlers for the shop, so far so good.

I am fortunate to live in KL and second your comments on the Pen Gallery. There is a another good pen shop in the Little India area of KL, not far from the Pen Gallery called KSGILLS. They have a few additional brands of pens that are interesting. Look for them the next time you are here.

Interesting, your comments on Singapore. I must visit that shop next time I am there. Did you see more than the one shop in Singapore? Any recommendations?

A Fine Pen, a fine watch and new shoes to "boot"...ahhhh

If I go back to Malaysia, I will look for the store. Thanks!

I spent only 5 days in Singapore with my sweet girlfriend who doesn't understand my eternal quest for pen, so I went easy on her. I saw some Japanese pen at Kinokuniya book shop, but since I live in Japan, it was not that interesting.

The pen store at Changi airport in the terminal 2 had some pretty amazing Pilot and special edition Pelikan.

I was too busy eating in Singapore to think about pen to be honest with you.

I've bought from them about once a year and been very happy. Shipping to the US is exceedingly fast and the packages come wrapped so well you could push them out of a cargo plane sans parachute.
