Lamy Pens

I currently have one good pen that I use exclusively which is a Pelikan 600 Sovereign. I love how light and smooth the pen is. You can write for hours without getting a sore hand. When I bought it I also looked at the Montblanc Starwalker in metal. I liked the look but not the weight. I'm currently thinking about getting a Lamy Studio Palladium or a Lamy 2000 and I'm looking to find out how they compare in weight to the Pelikan 600. If they are a much heavier pen can someone recommend another pen of comparable quality and price to the Lamy.

I'm afraid I don't have any experience with the Pelikan M600 aside from the M250/M215 and M400, but I'm a HUGE Lamy 2000 fan and I think it should be more or less the size of the Pelikan M600. The Lamy Studio Palladium is a little heavier and is a fine pen, but I like and prefer the Lamy 2000 over the Studio for it's lightweight, flexible nib and piston filling mechanism. Also, the Makrolon material on the Lamy 2000 is scuff resistant and is said to develop a nice patina over time. Lamys are quite a departure from the traditional looking Pelikan Souveran series, but the Lamy 2000 is a classic design by itself which has remained virtually the same since it's release in the 1960's. I jsut received a Lamy 2000. I like the weight (generally I like lighter weight pens) and I like the feel of it. The nib is really cool too becuase it is very flexible. It makes it easy to write a long time iwth it... which is what i have to do in my current position.
