Pelikan M200 Comprehensive Reivew

I think I need to get another nib for my M200. I've got a B nib in it and it is SO wet that B nib just doesn't work well for me for everyday writing. I think an M would be a better fit. Must resist buying another nib until after Christmas. MUST.

I agree that the Pelikan m200 nib is very wet. That is why it must be paired with an adequate ink and paper. In my case I have an M200 (F nib) which I use with Montblanc Midnight blue, with very good results. But I also have an EF (which I now seldom use) and a 0.6mm Binder stub (for use on good paper).

Even when using an M or F nib you should try using Pelikan 4001 inks (particularly blue-black) which are drier inks used to "tame" the flow.

I don't have a modern B nib, but I can tell you a vintage B nib is virtually a stub and works great with Pelikan 4001 black and blue-black. Vintage Pelikan B nibs, like the ones on a 400NN or a 140, really show off what these 4001 inks were designed to do. :cloud9:
