Can someone fill me in if this is decent paper for fountain pens? I like the looks of the pads and I was hoping they were suitable for Fps.

Thanks a lot,

I love the paper, it actually has taken over my love for Campus, which I never thought would happen. Jetpens.com has great prices and selection of their stuff. No affiliation, just a very satisfied repeat customer.

My current journal is a Mnemosyne. I write in it exclusively with a fountain pen. No feathering and no bleedthrough. Granted, I don't use wet writers.

They just have a cool something to them...the whole thing is so dignified? understated quality? Something like that.

+1 from me.

I use some really wet stubs and broad nibs on mine and it doesn't bleedthrough or feather, just to put it out there. :)

Wandered into Kinokinuya in Sydney this week and they had a small stock of Mnemosyne including neat A4 and A5 pad folders (expensive). Maruman generally is "close but no cigar" as their pads and notebooks do show through and can bleed a little - not as good as Campus and Apica. I bought one of these with great trepidation. Took it back to my hotel room for a road test (I live an exciting life) and they are sensational. Raced back to Kinokinuya and bought six more to bring back to Melbourne. Excellent paper - no bleed, no feathering. Highly recommended but beware of their other papers - some don't quite make the grade.

I have the "180 Imagination" Mnemosyne.

The "front side" of the paper is great: heavy, smooth, no feathering.

However, with many pens there is quite a bit of show-through and even a bit of bleedthrough.

The saving grace is that these are not really meant to be used on both sides (front is grid, back is blank.)

I like this notebook, but at $17-27 each (depending on vendor,) I won't be buying another. Every Miguel Ruis I've tried is better than this Mnemosyne.

Regards, greg

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

Just as I prefer nibs with a bit of feedback or friction, as paper goes, the Mnemosyne is too smooth for me. I prefer paper that will slightly soak in the fountain pen ink. The cover of the Mnemosyne is nice, though.

The paper is smooth, but only the driest pens will not have showthrough or bleedthrough. The Kokuyo Campus fares much better. Lastly, it looks good but the black cover scratches easily, and that bothers me quite a bit. :P
