wow thanks for the cool photos. I am not sure yet if I like the new bottle as much as the old one. It does look slightly classier. I hope I can get to see it soon in person.

Wish list: Aurora Optima

Current inked Pens: Pilot Decimo - Noodlers BBH, MB Mozart - MB Lavender

Pelikan M150 - Noodlers Kung te Cheng

I have some photos at:

Montblanc

Many thanks!

Where did you already find the new MB ink bottle and ink "Irish Green"?

I was expecting to see the first new inks at the beginning of 2010.

Cheers

Michael

Thanks so much for posting those images of the bottle and inks. There's quite a bit of Racing Green around since everyone knew it was being pulled and stocked up.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

Brilliant - thanks for posting. I love the new bottles - they have kept the original benefits of the old bottles and improved them.

I'm liking the Irish Green - it reminds me of this year's White Forest for colour. I was never that keen on the Racing Green (OK shoot me!!!) but I like this one. Do you have this year's White Forest? How does it compare?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the other colours now!

Thanks for the photos - well done.

I won't be trading any of my hoarded Racing Green for that new green though :roflmho:

Thanks for the pics! I like the new label with the color insert and ink name on the insert.

I also like the look of the new cap--kinda reminds me of some of MB's LE pens!

I had a look at the photos but didn't see any of the new bottle. I only saw 2 photos the shop entrance, and the piece of paper with the colors on it.

Where do i see the new bottle?

  • 2 weeks later...

*yuck* so much for the hope that there would finally be a true "green" ink... it looks just like Pelikan or LAMY blue-green... it probably IS LAMY green, like is the Blue-Black.

I really like the colour - I've used it a lot this season on my notes and christmas cards. I guess we all have different tastes. I don't like BRG, but others here love it - love live variety!

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
