Ashish,Delighted to say that the two black cases

arrived safely yesterday in Dublin.

I appreciate that the delay arose from the

Indian holiday festival.I much appreciate

your help.I now have four of your cases and

I ask myself if this is enough!

PM sent for 3 of the 2 pen cases in black. Soon my whole family will be able to safely take their pens out of the house.

Just a thumb up for Ashish. I've just received the pen cases, which I believe is the second packet that Ashish sent to me. The first one seems to be a victim of the holiday season. I really appreciate the service.

Highly recommendable, both the pen case and the service.

Nice Pen Cases !!! Mine arrived yesterday and the quality is excellent. Coming from India, had to be patient since it took about 4 weeks to arrive. Well worth the wait!

Thanks Ashish!!!

Alas, my pen case has arrived from Ashish in India. What a beautiful leather case of very high quality. It was well worth the wait...indeed (victim of the holiday mail glut, I'm sure). And thanks Ashish for keeping in touch with me.

Cheers,

For sale

Handmade calf leather twin pen cases, size 18 cm by 5 cm, very soft leather.

My pair of cases arrived yesterday. I had wondered why all the hullabaloo about these babies. Now I know. They are very nicely made, functional, and handsome. Mine are now on guard duty for favorite pens.

  • 4 weeks later...

Ordered 3 cases, 2 brn and 1 black. They finally arrived from India and they are wonderful! I highly recommend them.

Still anxiously awaiting receipt of mine. I have had to learn to be patient as far as the mail is concerned, but I do admit a couple times in the past two weeks, I have regretted not having mine yet. I should have ordered them earlier :eureka:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
