Friends,

I am indeed sorry that postal delays have caused so many of you inconvenience, if you send me an e mail I will send a fascimile of the mailing receipt by which the parcel has been registered. The cases have started arriving at their destinations, Singapore (Kevin Tan), The US (feedback from Kurt) so I request some more of your already tried patience please. Sorry again.

regards

Ashish

I understand that things can happen that are definitely beyond our control. But there's one thing I've learned from all this: don't buy anything from India shipped to the USA at the end of Dec-the beginning of Jan. ;)

Very correct Dave, I have learned a lesson too, you see before this feedback from majority of the members was "fast shipping" which now unfortunately stands in tatters. Pens that I shipped to the US and Canada by speed post reached the US mainland in 5 days, then could be tracked through customs up to delivery, not so with registered mail.

It appears as though some others have received their cases.

I have not- and since this transaction has taken so long, I am not confident about the ultimate outcome.

My advice to others would be to buy a case somewhere else- there are many alternatives.

Sorry Ashish ----but I am an unhappy customer.

I quote one for all, but I want to point out that this is not a retail shop and I don't think Ashish makes a living out of this.

As many have pointed out the cases are well made and at the right price.

This is an asset to our community.

We actually need to thank him for doing this.

IMHO, anyway!

Best

I've just received my pen case a couple of days ago. I am very pleased with it - the leather is soft and supple, and the quality of the workmanship is superb, truly flawless. For the price, these pen cases are a steal. It may have taken a while to get to me (to be honest, I'd almost given up hope), but it was definitely worth the wait. I'll be buying a 3-pen case from Ashish forthwith.

I received my two cases today. As others has said, the leather is very soft and in my view the cases are good value for the money.

I guess the holiday season is over in India because shipping time was not bad either, twelve business days between dispatch and delivery is okay with me. Packing was carefully done. (I have something to learn here, I admit )

I have also placed an order for the three pen cases and I would be happy if they are of the same high quality as my first two pen cases.

My case has finally arrived! Thanks Ashish for sending out a replacement. And I got it in less than a week.

The leather is soft and looks wonderful, might get the black one in the near future.

Thanks.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
