Hey, is the Chelpark Permanent Blue Black an iron gall ink? I wonder if it's still available? I don't recall seeing one lately.

Also, I've had poor luck with two recent bottles of Chelpark Emerald Green, both had SITB. Both were purchased from different stores and were from different batches. Wonder what has been the experience of others with that ink?

Did you try Kevin at FPR? If you like the ink that much it might be worth getting a 500ml bottle, as I'm thinking it may be going out of production.

I like the color but have never actually used ChelTurq. Someone wrote me a letter with it, and it seems a unique, dusty turquoise.

FPR was the first place I looked. I'll have to check again, or write a WTB/T ad.

Kevin T (Fountain Pen Revolution) lists Chelpark Turqouise among the inks he has available. It's among the inks he will sell in 500 ml (= 16.9 ounce) plastic bottles to reduce shipping costs..

No, the Chelpark B-B available today is not IG. It used to be IG in the past, with the fact being clearly mentioned on the carton under the ISI mark. In my view the new Chelpark B-B avatar is a very poor quality ink, with chunks of undissolved dye floating about when the ink is drawn in with a fine syringe, the needle gets blocked with these chunks. however YMMV. My bottle of emerald green is OK. however I have very less confidence in the new fangled PG stationery which is making inks under the Chelpark name nowadays.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

I too seem to be losing confidence in Chelpark. With two of the recent green bottles, I had trouble. One I managed to decant to a clean container. I discarded the other. Among the Indian inks, I'm sticking to Kokuyo Camlin and Bril.

I agree with Hari Brother :) BB in Chelpark was withdrawn only due to the fact that it started giving much clogging issues. All the dealers to whom I inquired with told the same reason. But other inks from Chelpark are reasonably good, since I am using it everyday (royal Blue)
