Noodler's Ink Color Chart...

Is there anywhere online where I can find a current, printable Noodler's Ink color chart? I have been to their website and seen an apparently older color chart (it doesn't list some of the inks I've seen some of you mention) but it will not print out with the color samples. I'm trying to compile a "Fountain Pen Info" book to help me find whatever I'm looking for with a flip of a page and I'd like to be able to include the various ink color charts with samples. If there are any other good ink brand color charts that you may be aware of, I'd also like to print those out as well. Thanks in advance for any and all assistance you may be able to offer me.

Thanks for posting that link, Lloyd. However, this page should help the OP a little more (it's a hacked link and not one that is normally available on our website).

Thanks! I was able to print the chart out. They've really got some great colors!

Martin/The Writing Desk deserves a big thanks for their colour charts! :clap1: I have seen them referenced many, many times and his business deserves our business in return.

WOW! Y'all (yeah, yeah, I'm a true Southerner) have all been so helpful that I now have dozens of color samples printed out. I've even got samples that show color comparisons of many different brands of the same or similar color. Thanks, everyone, you folks are tops!!

I too have been looking for a web site to purchase an ink chart from

Diamine Fountain Pen ink to no avail, I really don't want to download one

for two reasons,

Cost

Not sure of the download would be exact, although I have a great printer.

Any suggestions

Well, if you want to see an individual ink, some of us would write you a letter with inks we have in our little stashes and you can see the ink in person. (We call these CRVs). It won't get you a full sheet, but it might be a small step so you can see what you like.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

This thread needs to be pinned with the FAQs. Very helpful.

We don't pin too many threads because then the front page is full. Check out the current pinned topics (this one is in the list of noteworthy topics).

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
