Beautiful ink, I love the shading. Thanks for the review!

Steel Blue is a great color. I have it in a Sailor Sapporo fine nib today and it is the perfect marriage of nib and flow. Even with the very fine Japanese nib, it shows nice shading. The paper makes a big difference in drying time so it can be a little slow on Clairefontaine but fine on Apica 6A10. As a right-handed writer I can use it anywhere but wonder if that would hold true for a lefty.

Thanks for that. I saw the first couple of lines and said: "It's just like Naples Blue!!" Then I saw your comment to the same effect. It's a great color but I guess I won't get it until I've used up my Naples Blue.

Wow. That's a fabulous shade. I'm such a sucker for inks in the turquoise/blue-green range.

Ditto, and me too - I wonder how this compares with PR Blue Suede. Looks very similar on my monitor to Blue Suede in real life.

Not long ago I posted a comparison of several turquoise and aqua inks. Consider it a relative comparison. Hard to get that sort of scan perfect.

How does it compare to Diamine BB?

IMO, that is also along the shade of a Teal.

This does look a little darker.

I have Blue Black somewhere, but in all my wet writing pens, it gunks up on the nib. Blue Black is darker and less turquoisy

I bought this ink expecting something a bit different (a gray-blue was what I was after). I decided I liked it anyway, even though I am not a fan of most "teal" inks.

  • 2 years later...

Yeah, I want to see it too. 2 1/2 years later. Maybe we need a new photobucket upload?

A "very brief review" is always more than okay, but I think you're exaggerating here.... ;)
