My handwriting

Recommended Posts

My handwriting is sometimes too small for the pens I have, so the "e" doesn't have the little space inside it sometimes, same goes with "l". And I also noticed that my "n" and sometimes the "m" looks like "u"s. I didn't know what to write, so I just wrote the first verse of one of my favourite songs. Any suggestions?

All pens will dictate how you may write. Eg, I bought a Graf and the nib was such that I had to write huge so the e's etc wouldn't fill in. I had them change the nib to fine and bingo, problem solved. Your nib seems quite broad. Write bigger.

Thanks

Your handwriting looks good to me, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's very nice writing (imo).

Very legible and quite a balanced hand. I agree, though, that with a nib of that size, you'll have to write larger. It's that, or go to a finer nib. Or perhaps both. I'm find practicing with some of each quite helpful.

I came here for the pictures and stayed for the conversation.

I forgot to add that my favourite pen will not do some of the fine work I want so for that I use a Nakaya or my Namiki.

Just to qualify('cause we do have some word police here) that by favourite I mean the one I want to be with most, despite its flaws : and that will vary for everybody

Thanks

Your handwriting is a 100 times better than mine. I HAVE to write slow, so I can read it. Good choice of songs by the way.

Same here. Nice, readable, clean. Even the blue looks great!.

I like your hand writing. I have the same issue with e's and some loops that you do. For business writing I use a fine nib for that reason. For pleasure writing or for letters I use a medium nib and write a little larger.

I have to agree with the others. Your handwriting is clear and easy to read. The only changes you might consider are trying a finer nib or writing a little larger.
