Parker Duofold Checkered Amber (medium)

Great story to go with the pen! I don't see much mention of this one here (the new Duofold, that is. Parker stopped making them for a time before they started again with this design), but it looks like a fine pen.

Fantastic review. It's great to see someone have a bond like that.

I have the Duofold Centennial in Green check and it's a beautiful pen. Mine still misbehaves though. It's like a sports car that has a little trouble under the hood every once in a while. But when it's running well, it's simply irresistible.

Enjoy the rest of your journey with your Duofold.

Fountain pens aren't a collection, it's an insatiable obsession!

Thanks for this review. I'm in two minds over a modern Duofold. On the one hand, it's the quintessential Parker pen (along with the 51). This amber version and the marbled Pearl and Black have really caught my eye.

On the other hand, I'm looking out for a Bexley Corona... :hmm1:

Thanks for a great review - I've just joined FPN because I was thinking of getting one of these. You've tipped the balance :vbg:

I know the pain when your canine friends misbehave. My dog managed to take a bite out of my akubra hat brim - a momento of my travels that I felt very sentimental about :gaah: It bears the scars but I still love it.
