I'm currently waiting for a 70 ml bottle of Pilot Black and a box of Sailor's Kiwaguro cartridges. I recently found that my collection was to short on blacks and this was the answer...

And I now have all 4 of the Ink of the years from Pelikan Edelstein.... waiting on Aquamarine to hit the stores. ;)

Now to find some of the other hard to find inks.

Try Japanese shop exclusive inks. You'll have fun chasing those. B)

While watching the prices soar on Ebay for the Sailor speciality inks the past weeks I have happily ordered three Standardgraph inks in colors I didn't have & a bottle of Pelikan Edelstein Turmaline. It feels good to watch the feeding frenzy while awaiting four bottles of ink @ less than the cost of one!

What feels even better is getting some of those "feeding frenzy" inks for less than half of what it auctions for or at cost. B)

Hoping to get four SankoDo inks around May. :)

Not exactly waiting for in the mail, but I'm waiting for my local Montblanc store to order in the Tolstoy and Golden Yellow inks for me. I called them up today, after a fruitless visit a week or so ago, only to find they'd sold out of the Golden Yellow they'd received almost immediately upon getting the bottles in. :yikes: Thankfully, there was still stock locally so I should be able to pick them up tomorrow. :) I was amused when I was asked how many bottles I'd like, as if in the expectation I'd want many. I wonder now whether they sold all their allocated stock to the same person.

Sailor Kobe Ur Lapis and #20 from Atsu.

I've ordered another bottle of Ur Lapis too. Beautiful blue ink.

The #20 is stunning - I've got few inks with gold sheen that good. I'm seriously getting into bright orange/red inks at the moment :-)

Wonder Pens in Toronto (no affiliation) is offering a new mailing option for those of us who have to use Canada Post's (ugly) super boxes. The store will request a signature to pick up parcels. There is a better chance that the mail will then be stored in a warmer environment. Either I get a notice to go to the village post office to pick up my mail or one of the rural delivery staff will knock at my door.

In very cold temperatures these super boxes can become like deep freezers, where bottled ink or cartridges won't survive :( (except maybe a few inks from Mr Tardiff).

Usually I've avoided buying or shipping inks in Winter. As an experiment I have ordered some Kaweco Midnight blue ink cartridges from the above store. Crossing my fingers.

How much does Atsu charge for inks he hasn't listed on his eBay?

It depends on the store, location, the ink and quantity.

Both the Ur Lapis and #20 were on his eBay shop recently. The Lapis (limited edition) was $35 and the Kobe was $25 (the current standard price for Kob inks from him). I've paid various amounts for inks he doesn't normally sell, especially when I've bought multiple bottles of one ink e.g.Sweet Potato Purple & Cigar.

OK. But if you ask him to get an ink from the standard line of Nagasawa Kobe, that he hasn't listed on eBay, how much doea he usually charge? I'm thinking of two bottles probably.

I think it might be easiest to just ask him directly. :) He has previously only quote me a total price inclusive of shipping, so I am not sure how he calculates his prices and fees.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
