What ink(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

ALL of the inks without English labelling are a mystery for me - which is a high percentage of your delivery.

LOL

One of the four-packs of 5ml bottles I sent you contained four inks that would be difficult to get outside of Japan: Kingdom Note Dorcus hopei binodulosus, Kingdom Note Hynobius tokyoensis, Pent Kotoba-no-iro Kurotokage (black lizard), and Kobe INK Story Chaska green (exclusive not just to Nagasawa Bungu Center as a retailer/chain, but to only the Umeda Chayamachi store).

If I recall correctly, the other one contained 5ml samples of MoJi dye ink #01 (Silk Grey), #02 (Patina Green), #04 (Medium Magenta), and #07 (Lavender Blue) shown in my earlier post.

I labelled all the bottles as I've written above, but I understand that some of the writing in English (or the English alphabet, anyway) may now be obscured by ink stains unfortunately.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

I don’t know if these qualify as impulsive purchases, because I looked at reviews and swatches online, so here we are.

For me it's a bunch of samples, to fill out the order to get free shipping from Vanness, when I lost the new Dark Dusk Safari over the weekend :crybaby: and had to get a replacement (at least it's not an EXPENSIVE pen).

So, the new-to-me ink samples (which in theory, I should get by the end of the week), in no particular order: Ferris Wheel Press New York New York Lights on Broadway; Wearingeul Wonderful Wizard of Oz Dorothy; Van Dieman's Bunch of Roses; Robert Oster Forest Green; Robert Oster Deep Purple; and Robert Oster Cities of America New York.

Yes, even though I've now lived in the greater Pittsburgh area for more than half my life (on and off) at this point, I'm still a New York Girl at heart....  Including being a Yankees fangirl -- and I do NOT want to get ANY guff from Red Sox fans!  Because I'll just laugh and point....

Sorry for your loss, I’m glad that it’s replaceable and glad that it justified the acquisition of ink samples! 😂

Of course, probably didn't need more ink, since I've got 10+ year old bottles of various black inks I've never opened -- not to mention some freebie inks from B/W in March....  And the bottle of Noodler's #41 Brown I picked up last week at a local art store (I was amused by the masking tape the store put across the cap down to the shoulders of the bottle, where someone had written "CAUTION!  Very Full!" on the tape...).  Maybe I should have told the cashier the story about knocking that nearly full 4 oz. bottle of Kung Te Cheng off my bathroom counter (I probably still have stains in the tile grout a decade or so later... :wallbash:).
