Is a nice green hue, surprisingly you mention is a dry ink, and this is interesting. The only other 2 Iroshuzu inks I've tried are Ok, not overly wet but they have good flow.

It suprised me too as the kon-peki didn't behave like this and the other reviews of this range are quite positive. To clarify, the ink looks wet, and while i found the flow slightly inconsistant, it never stopped flowing - it always left a line. However, for it lubricating the nib I found the nib very scratchy using this ink, hence the dry comments, which also seem to be backed in part with the drying time. It may perform better in a medium nib.

Following this review I have now used this ink in a different pan and found it a little moister than originally thought so it may well have been the nib of the pen I was using at the time that gave it a dry feeling.

I've put it in two of my converters and both times the ink left behind a slight blue-green tint.

It depends what you mean? Just after I finished using it i noticed a slight change in the colouration, and after cleaning there was a slight hue. But to be fair each ink I have put through a demonstrator has left a hue and I've come to the conclusion that no matter how thoroughly you clean a demonstrator some residue will always remain.

 

So no, I don't think this is a pen wrecking ink.

Just inked up a Falcon with Shin-ryoku....wow!...nice medium green. However , I'm seeing a very faint ?? hum... bluesomething?... while still wet...then it seems to be ...gone...when dry to the touch..after just a few seconds. ? The Falcon had no remnants of any other ink in it . The Falcon's " SM" nib lays down a silky smooth wet line. Shading is very subtle with m- flex,+ my constant light pressure. Shading can be much more dramatic with pressure applied differentially as desired. This pen & ink combination is impressive.

Nice review, this just confirms that the bottle I ordered from Japan was a good decision, going on this review a very good decision. Its definatley a great colour.

And how can this be, because he is the Kwisatz Haderach.

Is it just me or does it start out more green/black and become more green as the sample continues? Which is accurate? Was the pen dipped or filled? Was it flushed out beforehand? Just curious what the right color to expect is.

Good question.

 

I had problems with that ink and pen combination. The real colour IMHO should be between the two.

I love green & bluegreen inks. I have found that almost BG inks leave

color on the plastic walls of almost all convertors with some variation

of course. For Example my platinum Jade's convertor is permanently

bluish-GREEN. Not a problem with me.

So true. A cheaper alternative is the MB Irish Green

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
